Duuuuude you deserve every red nickel KZbin pay you and then some. The amount of work you put into this library of videos you have produced, digging deep and giving sound information, is off the charts. It's bloody brilliant and has enriched a lot of players fun, I have no doubt at all. Well done and thank you very much. Just as an amusing aside, i had a exp kvm drop from about the fifth finx tank rival I killed and then another immediately after (same fight) from a standard non rival mil tank that he was standing next to..weird I know, I couldn't believe it.

I end up with an unfathomably large amount of harvesters and hunters as my rivals, which I've seen very few of any experimentals on either, so far about 70 harvesters and maybe 12 hunters. Only two tanks and I don't know if that's RNG or design, but what am I to do to have a better chance of tanks or at least a higher chance altogether?

So rivals are made from pre-existing enemies in the world, so in order to ensure tanks become rivals, essentially, just dont kill tanks when you're out setting up rivals! It's still down to RNG if they become one but i've found its more likely to happen if the tank isnt currently rendered, of course that might just be conformation bias. I mostly farm up runner hunters and harvesters when setting up my rivals so I can ensure the largest amount of tanks possible myself and it works pretty dang good I say. As a level 16, I've had no problem with them moving ex weapons to 25...shame though the drop rates also got moved...that's my only issue. As for Rivals as they stand, I quite like having them spawn at lower levels, it builds out your map, makes it feel a lot more personal. I'm more than happy to let them roam about as I finish up the last few main missions....all we need now to build on what we have is a bit of a crafting system....games like this benefit from adding some sort of resource gathering for crafting items along side ammo farming

That's the best strat to take my dude, i forgot to mention that, definitely as an end game activity you want to _save the heck_ outta those rivals until you hit 25, then go ham on farming and pray rngjesus blesses ya haha cheers bro and thank you for watching!! :D

Now i learned that the top level is 31 and after that neither skill points are given anymore neither you can shift the skill points. Therefore almost 3 months I am on same level, although killing machines without end. rsrsrsrsrsrrsrsrs Ok. Now I know it. Good work Tenebris! Looks like from today's posting from the Devs that some things will be removed in the next patch to keep us from reading too much into what may be in store. However, It is still great to speculate. I wonder if Tenebris Infinite will post a follow up with the latest news update regarding this.

It may have been changed again, but I had maybe 18-22 rivals after completing the missions. I went into my friend's map and cleared maybe 6-8 rivals. I acquired the AG x2, shotty x2, glock x2, launcher and the pvg. Another launcher dropped from a base defense. I saved all my rival kills until after my character hit lvl 25. Lucky? maybe a little, but I don't think I would have been that lucky with a 6% drop rate. Rival levels varied, but there were a healthy amount of lvl 4s. I'd be fine with a low drop rate as long as its easy to spawn Rivals. Feels like I'm doing something now that all missions are done.

Hi TI! Do you have tips on good spawning locations for the machines in the marshland and the north Coast? I find myself running around like crazy trying to find anything to hunt to get the rivals to spawn there. Resulting in me spending most of my time on Himfjäll.

Yeah man! Tbh lately Normyrra is a great place to find spawns regularly, outside of that i frequent Garphammar, Stenmyra, and the marshes west of Stenmyra, all great locations for spawns :D Plus nicely varied terrain so it never gets dull having massive battles!

Just play the organ at a church safe house and farm the machines that show up until rivals spawn. Don't use adrenaline... if you die just respawn right there at the church

i mean to make this faster if you got a load of ammo (as you should) just trigger a harvester, break its missle pad and lure in near a rectangle green military house sit on top of the washing tray because the ai cant shoot you if you dont touch the ground altho seems to only bug out hunters tanks, harvesters and just unload because the freshly spawned hunters still count for XP and points like a regular hunter even if its corpse despawns as soon as you die and dont use adrenaline super quick too + if you stagger a harvester as its summoning hunters you can glitch it out every so often to just keep spawning hunter if 1 dies regardless how many there are

Hey Tenebris this isnt related to the video and I apolgize but I noticed something with the runners. If you manage to find 1 alone most of the time it will run from you and lead you to a pack of other runners. I noticed it today and thought it was really cool. I also saw it in your Alpine unrest contact day 3 just a little bit ago when the rocket runner ran from you and stopped at the top of the hill where there were other runners waiting. One other thing. What is the best way to farm standard 5* weapons. Not the LMGs. I've killed a ridiculous amount of FNIX tanks and havent gotten any. Perhaps the drop rate is very slim? I'm missing the 5* variants for the Kpist, AG 4, AG 5, 12G Pump shotgun, Möller PP, and both hunting rifles.

No worries man! Yes that's been one of those great "secret" features from back in Augusts update last year! The whole runner "running" strat. They'll sometimes run when they're the last one left standing if there happens to be another pack of runners near by! Drop rates have been tweaked across the board multiple times, most 5 crown weapons are super rare now a days, a thing to keep in mind is only certain weapons drop from certain enemies, AG4/5 drop from tanks, the kpsit as well i believe, as for the pump moller and hunting rifles those dorp from harvesters. Unless that's been changed along the way too xD I haven't actively farmed five crowns since rivals were introduced! Seeing as i have em' all i never feel the need to unless i'm helping someone else get them :)

Hmm thats a hard call my dude! I think i'd say they aren't but again RNG is a hard thing to judge as its all luck based :D someone mad lucky might get all EXP weapons in a large batch of rivals, where as the AG5 would still require hundreds of tanks!

I agree rival farming is fun but it’s less rewarding and it makes me want more content like like the dlc even more. I do wonder if you’d have better luck going after the 5 star LMGS in the game over the Experimental weapons?

New player perspective: Rival system is noisy and inexplicable. First time it happened, I thought I either left the back door open and a Multiplayer got in, or it was going to be an annoying leaderboard feature. I watch a lot more than I play, but even searching your page did not turn up this one, the exact one I needed, after a year of your following and challenging the Rival system. I have been cobbling together from spoiler-y later game videos, but a pile of this type, all in one place, and as the developers hype the new base ability with Steam sales, the viewing traffic will drive itself.

I think the drop rate should be increased a bit and the min level should be 20 because otherwise you don’t get the exp weapons until after you’ve finished all the meaningful fighting in the game

I got insanely lucky today. I just turned level 25. Was doing the piece by piece quest where you have to kill The Evolved One. He was i think level one or two. And I was telling my friends he doesnt drop anything good...then after he dies...bam...my first experiemental, a pvg 90...my friend who is using a 4 crown 50 cal is so jealous. I know he wants it bad...but im not giving it to him lol.

level 31 here. I am missing experimental .50 and all get off of apoco rivals are experimental weapons I already have (given that it even drops a damn experimental weapon), and experimental apparel witch is garbage tier and I'd rather have ammo.

I’m level 25 (and 1/3rd-ish lol) at the mo, I’ve found the final mission, but I’m avoiding doing it for the moment as I still have other bunkers to unlock and then the missions from those to do. I haven't started a single main mission and am max level, I've found seven experimentals so far (unfortunately five of them were PVG 90s lol). Missions have no effect on experimental farming.

Since the last patch I haven't seen a single experimental weapon even with maxed out rivals. Game was better before , its now less fun who wants to constantly farm for weapons. If the rivals maxed up quicker might be fun ,but this isn't. Also once you max out your level to 31 the, game suffers as well as there is no point in gaining points. They need to put a higher level cap .

That is! Its about 1/4's of a drop rate from FNIX per EXP weapon, and about 1 third for military from that point, then about 1 in 6 for the PVG, so very good luck on your part man!

Today was the glitchest day with this on PS4. I reported errors 3 times. I had guns that shot themselves as soon as I reloaded. That special 50 cal with the extended mag is under powered. I was better off with the Ak .

I saw this video before and I came back because the current event in GZ. I killed all the rivals in the area and I’m trying to spawn tanks as rivals. However I’m on 2k área score and I haven’t spawned any rivals at all. Is there a timer after depleting an area?

There is sadly my dude, its about 2 hours! So while the cooldown is in effect go to other regions and try to spawn in rivals there :D

I let myself get killed maybe up to 20 times by an apocalypse tank on himfjall and it didn't become a rival. But I got killed once by a fnix harvester and it instantly became a rival. I want an apocalypse tank rival because I figure it's the quickest way to get the Experimental LMG but it just isn't happening. At least killing a lot of machines levels up a rival now.

So at level 4 they are max level and cannot grow any stronger so dont worry on that front! And have no fear, they are the same as your typical machines, just a little meaner ;D use hit and run strategies, and try to plan out your attack before going in and you should be fine! :D

Experimental weapons aren't necessarily end game if you tend to just roam around killing machines instead of focusing on missions. Im almost at level 25, and still no where near completing the game.

@@TenebrisInfinite the moment i started playing the dlc i wished to get kvm89 and the game gave me a kvm59 HMMMM THAT HEX ENGINE'S LOOKING GOOD ( also it's the shit i used to unlock every perk in the game genionely and i don't regret it ) wonder what will happen if i place an uno reverse card and i want to get a kvm59 but i get the kvm89.. HMMM I'M THINKING OF SOME GALAXY BRAINED SHIT RIGHT HERE

i like the rare drop rate, but I hope they also adjusted the type of weapon you get as well. When the new weapons first came out i think i got 5 shotguns in a row. With the rate of drops you are seeing, i would shoot myself if i kept getting the same drop every time. I think the drop rate of a weapon not currently in the players inventory should get a boost % to drop. Also i have 4 of every experimental weap in bank characters. I dont even pick them up anymore and havent had the need since about a month when they were introduced. Which also means unfortunately i have no motivation to play this game i really like. What can they do for endgame that motivates people to keep coming back? Fancy outfits and achievements for killing 200 of this or that doesnt cut it. 20-30 man pvp servers? Have questing servers and pvp servers separate so people leveling up and questing can finish up story mode and farm weapons in peace. The thought of having a fire fight with someone when a pack of hunters show up in the middle of it could be fun.

Can agree, the rarity also adds scarcity which ups the value of owning these weapons! Wish it were like that though, the amount of doubles i see is truly frustrating haha I remember when i was first farming up my EXP guns and i just _kept on getting AG4s_ drove me nuts haha Thats why at the end i was asking for some new fresh end game content to keep us players who have done and seen it all something fresh and fun to do! Idk if we'll ever see PVP but heck if it does come in some form or another i'll be dang stoked. Give me a new reason to pop into MP sessions! Cheers man, hopefully we endgamers will get something cool in the near future!

@@TenebrisInfinite i had an idea but idk.... just write it here ^^ the annihilator a boss that might spawn when rivals are killed its gigantic and 4 leged with weakpoints when u are under him... 4x2 tanks on is legs and its legs itself and where he shoots his laser from... he shoots a laser that travels on the ground to the player position maybe a bit further ... when you are under him he drops a massive cloud of gas under him and smoke all arround him that can reach a couble 100meters... once a tank is down he calls for help from surrounding units that call is massive and can reach units from 200-400 meters away.... he can drop exp weapons or a special laser weapon that needs no ammo but can overheat and damage the player if it does... so u want to manage to not over heat but it melts armor :D kzbin.info/www/bejne/inzbiaR3qrWYaac when he land he has the sound like in the video i posted followed by the very very deep horn that you will hear all over the map also u sometimes hear it ^^ kzbin.info/www/bejne/p5WWpHdnbLSpr80 that video should kinda resemble the overall sound :D u hear his stomps like from 800 meters when u get close maybe some ground shaking :D 1:36 in the video the sound when he fires his laser^^ .... to down him i want to shoot his "eye" where he shoots the laser from this will result in stunning him for some time then take out the tanks form the middle down under him and repeat that^^ once done u want to destroy his legs and then he falls on the ground then u can finish him off :D there can only be 1 of this and killing more rivals in other areas can lvl him up :D if he isnt stunned by shooting the "eye" with u just going between his legs he will just lay "eggs" that are mines under him like the fenix+ hunters but he spams it under him^^
