Great authentic content, appreciate the effort and attention to conveying what's important. From Australia and the market here for boxing gear is lagging so reviews like this really help with making informed choices.

Thnx for the review. Just ordered these today and was curious about the hand compartment of the 10oz. I measured without wraps my hand circumference about 7.5" but like the snugness of bag gloves. I have the rb11 in size Medium which I had to break in for a bit before they fit proper. Any insight into the size of hand compartment 8oz vs 10oz?
@JordanMilleronyoutube
@JordanMilleronyoutube 4 жыл бұрын
AvAm3dia I would recommend 10 oz. I have medium sized hands and they fit excellently with wraps + gel pads. Snug but comfortable. I think if you made the RB11 size Medium work, then you'll be good with 10 oz

@@jaysboxingchannel6233 with handwraps. Extremely comfortable and a great fit. Right out of the box they fit amazingly like an extension of my arm. Unfortunately the stitching along the punching surface began to rip and the intelli shock insert began to pop out. Was massively disappointed at this seemingly clear design flaw and rival only offered me a small discount for my next gloves. I got the regular Guerrero bag gloves which are noticable less comfortable and have a bigger hand compartment

I Typically hit the bag 20 rounds 12 of those being with my 14 oz laceup reyes or 16oz Powerlocks and the remaining rounds with my rival bag mitts or sometimes ill hit the bag 12 rounds in the bag mitts. Do you think these gloves would be great for me? My Main concern is getting them in the 10 oz and them being too tight where it causes my hands to cramp while hitting the bag that many rounds

@@jaysboxingchannel6233 love em part of my glove rotation , I have a adidas quick wrap sleeve I use for a lot of my gloves but I also do a real wrap when I want to turn up. Quick sleeve works for me cuz the wrist strap protection is crazy good support. Snug and fits well for me🤜🏽🤛🏽

Hello! May I ask if these are more protective than winning MS500 when it comes to shock absorption? Am thinking of getting either pair because I often get sore knuckles. Thanks a lot!

Hmmmm. Padding is very different between the too. These gloves are very firm but provide good shock absorption. Winning are softer and still protective. I’d say Winning over these given sore knuckle issue

I have the RB11's and really like the support and wrist/ first position but the material is too stiff and the interior bunches up. Been looking for something similar but in well broken in leather, but how is the hand pocket size? I'm a XL (13.5oz) for the Rb11's and they are just fine, worried about these.
@JordanMilleronyoutube
@JordanMilleronyoutube 3 жыл бұрын
These would definite feel smaller than RB11. These feel like fight gloves; compact and light compared to sparring/training gloves. Like you, I also prefer genuine leather over the synthetic microfibre that Rival uses on most of their gloves, which is a shame because I love how comfortable and protective Rival gloves are. IMO, Phenom is basically the same as Rival; such a similar shape and padding. Phenom makes a bag glove that is genuine leather and in normal training weights of 12-16oz called the SB-100. If you want a glove specifically for the bag, I'd check that out. I haven't used it personally, so I can't say much more than that about it. If you want an all around training glove that is very protective and good on the bag, 1V1 fightgear makes the most protective glove IMO. He may have some stock gloves in black on his website still. If not, hit up Boxupnation and he can help you customize an order. Code jordanmiller10 will save you $10. Hope that helps!

Hi thanks for the reviews. I just saw your channel because I was thinking about getting the venum hammer gloves and then I saw that these gloves were coming out and I’m not sure. I mostly want a really good bag glove that feels satisfying to hit with and comfortable. Which ones do you prefer? I’d like to see a comparison. For these to you think it would be good to follow the size chart? I weigh 135lbs and have small to medium size hands so according to that I should get 8 oz. I never thought I’d get such a small glove and worried it will be too small.

S Wang If you're looking for bag gloves specifically, I'd choose these Rival RFX Guerrero bag gloves with intelli-shock over the Venum Hammers. Both gloves are comfortable and keep your hand in a natural fist position, but the thumb placement and design on the Rival gloves is better in my opinion. Honestly, when it comes to fit/comfort of hand compartment and thumb, it's hard to beat the RFX Guerrero. If you needed a glove to do more than bag work, or wanted heavier gloves for training, I'd choose the Venum Hammers. Regarding size: the rationale behind the 8 oz recommendation is your body weight. For professional boxers, their fight-weight detetmines the glove size. 147 pounds and above use 10 oz, below use 8 oz. I think either size will work for you, just depends on your preference for glove fit/feel. I prefer a snug hand compartment and wrap my hands with gel knuckle guards, making my hands slightly larger than with just wraps, and the 10 oz gloves are snug like a fight glove but not uncomfortable. If you like a little more room in the glove, go 10 oz. Hope that helps! Reply back if you have more questions and subscribe for future comparison videos. Thanks!

Jordan Miller that helps a lot. Thanks for your time! I'ts so helpful . I subscribed now. Im still not sure, because for some reason I want to get the bigger gloves and I actually like the way the venums look better. But I thought you'd say you like the rival gloves better and looks shouldn't matter that much. I wish I could try them both on before paying so much money. Btw, loma is my favorite boxer too.

S Wang Nothing wrong with wanting the glove that you like the looks of better. I own the Venum Hammers and am happy with them; I'd recommend them to someone who wants a protective glove with great feedback. They're also currently 20% off on Venum's website. I would recommend 14 oz size

@@JordanMilleronyoutube Thanks again! Ok, just one more question before I stop troubling you. If I was to accidentally punch the bag really hard at the wrong angle or if I didn't tighten my fist in time, which one do you think I might be more likely to hurt my wrist? Or is it about the same?
@JordanMilleronyoutube
@JordanMilleronyoutube 4 жыл бұрын
S Wang No bother. Depends on if you get lace up or velcro Venum Hammers. If you get lace-up, Hammer would have a little better wrist protection. If you get Hammer in velcro, the Rivals will have better wrist protection.

Hey there! I got them from Rival’s website quite a while ago, before Loma went to Venum. Sometimes I see them on UK boxing websites. If you’re in the States, you’ll pay a premium due to currency exchange and shipping unfortunately if you find them there.

How do these compare to the RB10 intellishock bag gloves with the D30 shock absorption technology?
@JordanMilleronyoutube
@JordanMilleronyoutube 4 жыл бұрын
While I don't own the RB10s, I have tried them. They are a very different glove in terms of fit, padding, and weight compared to these gloves. Both comfortable, but very different gloves. A few key differences: -Leather: RFX is genuine leather, RB10 is synthetic Microfiber (stiffer feel) RB10 also has a mesh palm. - Weight: RFX is 8 or 10 oz, RB10 ranges from 14-18 oz like traditional training glove (though they describe it as M/L/XL) - Fit: both are comfortable, but to me the RFX is Rival's most comfortable glove I prefer these RFX to RB10. If you want a heavier Rival glove to train on the bag with, I would recommend the RS1 Ultra Sparring Gloves 2.0. While their padding is designed for sparring, they are excellent on the bag too; super protective.

I own the rv-10 one of the issues I've had with it it's good inside compartment why they feel comfortable do not have a real good sweat wicking material Karma Would I have understood from other KZbinrs it's that deep Bagless have a real Exodus sweat wicking material which is very important to me especially gloves that cost that much

@JordanMilleronyoutube 3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t tried the HDE-F bag gloves personally. I think these gloves could possibly last longer since they have the D3O padding on them as well. But the D3O padding does take a little bit of time to break in with the glove’s shape and the HDE-F bag gloves probably break in a little quicker

@@JordanMilleronyoutube I don’t know if last longer as there is stitching at the front on this and other ones don’t do not sure maybe as the stitching it on the knuckles it won’t last as long?
