17 months ago, my father passed away and Jordan helped me so much to deal with my grief. Now, I lost my mother last wednesday. I was holding her in my arms when she passed away. So sad... but, again, Jordan helped me to deal with my new grief. May God bless Rival Sons.

+Alexander Everhart You are correct Gene is wrong BUT your generations propensity to share everything causes problems. Now I'm just talking economics bands need money to exist, and yes if the become famous they are entitled to become rich. The egalitarian view was not what motivated Pete Townshend or Jimmy Page OR Mick Jagger yes they wanted to be rock gods, they also wanted the money. Folks you have to pony up for the music. I personally buy my music in CD form old as that may seem directly from the artist web page. I know they made their money that way. Gene is right not paying for stuff de-incentivizes artists and forces them onto the round ALL the time. They have families ya'll they want to be home to. Pay for the music, enjoy the music.
@alexandereverhart6549 жыл бұрын
+K6III450MHZ I'm 44 years old . . . what generation are you talking about? I've purchased all of Rival Sons albums on CD; have seen them in concert and have purchased a couple of their tour shirts. Bottom line, Gene is wrong (and a complete douche) rock is not dead, it's alive and well with Rival Sons.

This song brings me to tears and gets my short hairs to stand up every time I listen to it. I played this for 81 year old father who , to much of my surprise said "them boys know how to play a song right" even listen to a few other songs. That says a lot for a man who is more of a Merle Haggard fan. IDK who reads these but it don't much matter. I have been a loyal fan from the day I was introduced to your music. Thanks for doing what you do!

Quite uncanny how there are so many posts here about people losing parents, particularly fathers. I discovered this band recently and loved their songs. Especially "Electric man" and "Where I've been". The day after I heard of my dad's diagnosis of leukemia, I heard Jordan the first time and I howled. Exactly a month after that my dad passed and I played this song to my mom and brother and we all howled. These guys seem to really hit a note with the most sincere and unadulterated raw passion and emotion. Was looking forward to introducing my dad to this band when I saw him again. As the man who taught me everything I know about music, he would definitely have been a fan of there's. Much respect

Lyrics: The wolves look to the moon. And the ocean to the sky. I've looked to you my whole life Now I have to say goodbye... But to say that I've lost you, It's a selfish thing to say. I've never seen nothing as beautiful As watching you slip away I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels Than to keep you right here with me. I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan Now let your soul go free... You did it all with feeling, And failure, you took it gracefully. You said "third star to the right And straight on until morning. When you ned me, you know That's where I'll be" Now the rest of my life without you Right now it's hard to conceive, You said, "don't cry form me now You've got to remember There is no death fot those that belive" I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels Than to keep you right here with me. I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan Now let your soul go free...🖤

Sometimes we want people to stay here with us because we care so much about them. However they are at their time to leave us and pass. Often to stay for them means suffering for many reasons. In that situation wanting to keep them here can be selfish in a way! It all comes down to whats best for them, not us! Hard to say let alone do! This song touches that issue..... "I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels Than to keep you right here with me. I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan Now let your soul go free......" Beautiful and Sad, yet true! Oh my God, I think I've listened to this over 100 times in one night. Love it so much! !!! Talking love that has gone to the afterlife, I sent to a widow friend of mine Lyrics here "Jordan" The wolves look to the moon And the ocean to the sky I've looked to you my whole life Now I have to say goodbye But to say that I've lost you It's such a selfish thing to say I've never seen nothing as beautiful As watching you slip away I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels Than to keep you right here with me I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan Now let your soul go free You did it all with feeling And failure, you took it gracefully You said third star to the right And straight on until morning When you need me, you know That's where I'll be Now the rest of my life without you Right now it's hard to conceive You said, don't cry for me now You've got to remember There is no death for those that believe I'd rather see you go in the arms of your angels Than to keep you right here with me I'll meet you on the other side of the Jordan Now let your soul go free

What kills me is this band would have been enormous back in the late 60's into the 70's. Especially being an American band during the time that the UK was killing it. It's extremely sad that today's generation of people are so caught up with shit music that they may never get their full appreciation.

This may be the greatest song about loss and acceptance. Gives me chills every time I hear this.
