I saw Rival Sons at the Wonder Ballroom in Portland Oregon last February ...I already was a huge fan of their music but my friends had never heard of them. They started strong with Electric Man one of my favorites I looked over at my friends and they were AMAZED they were rocking out and at the end all left with CD's.......What a performance Rival Sons Rock

Really? I can definitely see some influence, especially in Open My Eyes. It doesn't really affect how I listen to them though because I still enjoy them as Rival Sons, not as Zeppelin 2.0

+Bryan Pescara This reminds me of The Animals - meets The Door - meets The Yardbirds - these guys have a retro - it's not bad, but it's not completely original either -at the --3:22-- mark it sounds a bit like Richie Blackmore's band 'Rainbow's - song 'Stone Cold'- he's got the Bonham barely muffled drum sound - the snare drum, nor the toms are muffled at all - you get that full, round, warm drum sound & the bass drum sounds like the lowest sounding drums - which is not common today in modern rock, nor metal.

"Raw" and "amazing" are absolute worthless words to describe the type of music someone plays. People rightly compare them with Led Zeppelin, The Animals, Cream and even The Doors. That's because their play style has those influences. What's ridiculous about it?

Very DOORSesque, mixed in with ZEP, and white stripes for good measure... throw in some " Animals".... and you have a tremendous band. When I heard this in the record store I had to buy the album. GREAT album !!

For me they're like a mixture of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath. Sometimes guitar sounds like Iommi's tones and effects and vocals reminds me R. Plant and his feeling. But who cares? They're awesome and this is what matters!
