People put their 'imagine' things here, so I decided I would put my own too for fun... In fact, I do have a willow tree in my backyard. This young willow tree has curly branches and leaves, oh, how I love to picture them as the "hair" of my willow tree. (The following is my imagination, this is fake.) At peaceful times, I would approach my willow tree, greeting it. Sometimes I would sit at the crotch of the tree or on the bottom, next to the roots. Close my eyes and fall into the realm I've created, a realm in which I grow with my tree. Little did I know, the willow tree who would call me is actually the spirit/soul who lived in my soul family for centuries. Sadly, that spirit was disconnected, but still somehow destined to be with me. That spirit found it's way into becoming a willow tree. A willow tree on which we would hang on in our childhood, each past lives we lived in together. When I zone out into the realm, I get to see and feel that soul. Expressing our everlasting love with care. At an old age, and no longer have the capacity to live any longer, that will be the time when I'll lay next to the willow tree on top of the roots and hugging the trunk. edit: 11/20/2020 I touched up the story a tad bit and tried to fix some of my grammar mistakes (which I suck at lol) ..close your eyes and just let your imagination run free as this song plays. Now, please tell me what you saw? Honestly, I just saw two childhood friends, of some human bird species, who ended up getting separated due to a dispute between between the higher ups. However they end up meeting again in battle. One of them was forced to kill the other and regret filled their heart. thinking they no longer deserved life, they peired themselves in the chest with the same sword they took their friends life with. Now one is in hell and one is in heaven, permanently separated for eternity. I have not a clue how I got all of this from a damn song....

I just imagine friends that always met at a willow tree but with time they drifted apart as they grew older. They argued, they drifted apart, and when they were adults, they had their own careers, families and their own new life. All of them came back, alone at different times. Sometimes, one of them would come by at midnight. Sometimes, another one came when the sun was setting. They'd just sit there and remember all the times they had.

I thought of a AU I made for a web series I like. I thought of one of the characters and him struggling with the demon that possess his mind. During the chorus I couldn't help but think of him falling into these longs periods of sorrow, thinking he's done something horribly wrong to deserve the fate he's ended up with. He reminises on what his life was like before he was possesed. He misses the his parents and other loved ones, as due to his demon, his life was prolongued. Causing him to outlive everyone he gets close too. He's just sad, alone, and wants to go back to more peaceful times

There was a comment asking what you saw when you closed your eyes and listened to the song and so I wanted to write it here. (Also I imagined it as an animation of sorts) At the beginning of the song there are two charecters (the charecters are wearing old fashioned clothing) sitting side by side on the sillouet of an old, dead-looking tree and around 0:16 it shows a close up of the two of them playing together And laughing until 0:20 when it shows flashes of them being separated and crying black tears while reaching for one another's hand. At 0:32 it shows one of the children when they are older (between 14 and 17 ish) mouthing the words with a lilac flower in her hands and a very gentle wind blowing. At 0:44 it switches to the other child, the same age as before but now has thick, ink-like stuff all around them and you cannot see their eyes as they mouth the words. Black ink blobs swirl and cover the screen to transition between scenes and at 0:52 It shows one of the charecters (the one who had ink-like stuff on them) being hanged (you still can't see their eyes because their head is tilted downwards) and it zoom ls a little further outward from the child to show the other child on their knees crying. scene ends at 1:00 when it starts flashing between different scenes (like them losing their grips I each other's hands, Them screaming out for each other and them both crying) and pitch black. 1:03 it shows the other non-dead one, still 14 - 17 ish and holding the lilac with a gentle wind, they (I'll just say she/her for the rest) sings along to the words as the focus goes to the background ( 1:06 ish) where you can see her making friends with individuals throughout the years, you see her smile with the friend before it shows them either leaving her, dying in her arms, dying I general. She never seems to age from being 14 - 17 ish. At 1:22 it shows her, again, holding the flowers and wind and stuff and she is mouthing the words and then just her being there until 1:28 . You see clips of her hanging out and having fun with her friend (not flashing between black and the scene this time) and the friend changes every few seconds (ex: first scene ends/next scene starts at 1:31 ). 1:41 , the two charecters are facing from a side view looking opposite of each other while both holding a flower (wind too) and the one that is still a young child has that ink stuff all over themselves; that child also starts mouthing the words at 1:44 . When the songs says "living here in harmony" ( 1:51 ) it shows rapid flashings of the girl protecting her friend (different friend each time) as they die in different ways. After that it shows the girl (14 yrs looking) creating a conjuring/demon circle with her blood (as she is making the circle she mouthed "this is where you want to be" at 2:03 ) to ask the devil(or just some demon) to revive the other child and the demon replies with 2:08 , "the world is never what it seems" (the different friends that she kept watching die or leave where different parts of the original friend being brought back but being destined to die all because of her). 2:12 it swoops to show the dead child with the ink-like stuff, like how I described 0:44 except the ink is thicker and more is dripping and the wind is picking up more. 2:20 and it does the same as I described 0:32 but the wind picked up more and the mouth movements are a bit more dramatic. 2:28 and it shows the dead kid again but now their flower is dead and it is super windy and they're making really big movements with their body and mouth and it is a lot more dramatic, you can finally see the eyes and it is pitch black and black ink starts to drip from their eyes. 2:36 and it is just like 2:20 but the flower is now dead and the wind also picked up a lot, she is making a lot of big movements as well and when her eyes look almost manic/scared while crying. 2:41 shows all the different friends that she had lost over the years, lip-syncing the words while all holding different flowers (there is no wind and you can't see any of their eyes). 2:48 has the girl covering her face and it switches between 4 frames of her slowly uncovering her face and everytime that she fully uncovers her face and opens her eyes, a giant ink splatter explodes behind her. The final scene is at 2:58 when it says "dancing to the time" and the dead child opens their arms to the girl (who is a child in this scene, don't question it) and she runs up to hug him and that is where it cuts off and ends. Okay, so in another comment I put what I imagined the animation for the song would be like but because of how descriptive I was, it was hard to understand the actual story for it was; so I am writing the story here (Warning: Gruesome) It is the very late 1800's and two best friends, a girl and a boy around the age of 10, spend all their time by a beautiful willow tree. Truthfully, anyone can do magic, but most people don't know how. Well, the boy and girl did know how but the boy was not careful and he was caught. Word spread and eventually, the girl was forced by her the town to be separated from the boy. Only days later, the girl went to the willow tree and found that others had gathered around the tree for some reason. The reason, she found, was something absolutely horrific. It was the boy, he was hanging by a noose, tied to the tree, his body now lifeless. Someone must have done this to him, she knew that he would never take his own life, that he would never leaver her. Knowing she could not live without him, she attempted #uicide, multiple time actually, but found that she would always wake the next day. She even once shredded herself to pieces but still found herself to be perfectly fine the next day...she was...immortal. 4 years after his death, she found a way to bring him back, but when she summoned the demon who would "bring back" the boy, the demon said "...The world is never what it seems" . She thought that the spell hadn't worked but it turned out that the friends that she had made throughout the years were actually just parts of the original boy, made to die time and time again all because of the girl. One of these friends she made died during a shoot-up and he ended up dying in her arms, in an alleyway. Another died trying to protect her after she snuck her way into fighting in World War 1, again, right in front of her. After almost 100 years of watching her friend die over and over again, she finally let go and that was when she died and was able to reunite with the boy once and for all. It doesn't really make sense with the song when I put it in this order but as the animatic, it makes a lot more sense.
