you should watch the show, you can tell he had such a good time playing his character. he talks about how fun it was to film in interviews as well

@ I’m sure he did enjoy it. I just know that in the past he’s said sex scenes can be uncomfortable to portray because it’s so intimate. But I know they had an intimacy coordinator on set and that probably helps a lot!

@@ineffablemars he has two sex scenes in the whole show, and they're very short and aren't at all explicit (the most he shows is the top part of his chest). comparatively he's been in things that have been more explicit/had more sex scenes like single father, blackpool, and don juan in soho. i think it's true that rivals wouldn't be something he would initially choose to do on his own in part bc of the book's reputation and how he finds filming sex scenes embarrassing, but if he had any concerns the people who made the show listened to him or else he wouldn't be talking about the cast and crew the way he is. he found the filming experience enjoyable, and he loved playing the character. so i think him being in this show was ultimately a good thing for him
