I guess the reason varus is gettinf popular is due to his ability to melt tanks with the ap build. Since toplane is a lane supposed to be more pacific, most of the time you scale by farming so in equal conditions i guess you win tanks in midgame late game

hes going ap couse of the passive, the more hp you have the more it hits you with passive and the active W :)

Varus AP player need 3 W stacks to use his ability, otherwise his dmg will be low and his Q or E will not restore (base on what ability he used, if he use Q with 3 stacks, he will reclaim E and vice versa) Thay cooldown mechanic can not apply on minions All you need to do is dodge Q or E when trading him Fact: R can also consumes W stack like Q or E to cause more dmg

Nothing is more satisfying than seeing someone cheese counter top lane with a ranged pick against melee just to still lose while having their duo jungler camp for them.

There's a guy called VARUSKING on KR server, who plays varus ap top and has a 79% winrate on grandmaster. And people start copying his play style.

I mean his early game sucks. But if he gets to 3 or 4 items and has a team to protect him in team fights he can blow up entire teams with 1 combo because his passive has max hp % dmg.

You respected this guy way too much in lane. Once riven is level 2 a varus shouldnt be allowed to farm anymore unless its under turret. And you even saw it, every time you went in here he was either dead or forced to B. Shoulda just wiggled behind his casters and dared him to farm lol. If he has the balls to try to auto you you just immediately all in. The one time ive laned against this I giggled like a school girl then made him quit. Truly unplayable for varus
