Hey Alfie, absolutely love your uploads, seriously too drawer dude, I hope your doing well with your mental health, I too had a serious drop around 2 years back, I lost my daughter to forced adoption, hit with a deep depression, and then the whole lockdown we all had to deal with, I was planning my suicide a couple of months back, then gets a phone call out the blue, my lasses cousin had just killed himself, same age as me, had kids and a misses, was very well liked in his home town etc ... put things into perspective for the time being. I have work to do on myself, and am planning a weekend camping asap to collect some wild shrooms, for the " factory reset " that's just me, it's not the answer for everyone, but nearly 25 years experience with them so that's where I'm going. Take care brother. 😎

It's a passion..... I fish fresh as well as saltwater but specialize in freshwater.... Do the odd guide when the time allows me too. Pb is 26,7kg full scale carp. Plenty of fish around 14-16kg..... But haven't broken the 20kg mark since that fish. Been doing it for about 32 years. It is an addiction. Looking for anything over 6kg. And no, I don't do specimen nor do I fish with boilies...... I have been so lucky in my life never to have go to that level of fishing, waiting 2/3 days for a decent fish...... I do my research and put in the hours..... More than 90% of the time I will land a few slabs over 6kg's by going back to basics.... It's what I was put on this earth to do (or so I believe). Even guided on a few competitions and have always done well with complete beginners. It's a way of life that I, as a person will keep on perusing and practising till I physically can't anymore. Such a beautiful fish to target when you do it well....

@@mattiemclean9882 yes they certainly are pal!👌🔥 I’m from the north of England (Leeds) so I’ve never fished it but I’ve seen Alfie on it a few times. Just last week a big common called Kamara was banked at 46lb from a place called Ladywood. There’s a threat those fish could end up in river system cos it runs past it. Have you ever done river carp fishing as it takes a lot of time pre baiting and doing your home work with still no guarantee they are going to turn up and be willing to feed on the day you actually manage to get time to Chuck a bait in! It’s a whole different type of fishing to fishing a lake and knowing exactly what’s in there! He’s put in the work and deserves credit for his results! If it was all down to tackle and bait then we would all of had the biggest fish in the lakes we fish. I’ll be honest and I can’t be bothered to put that much effort in and just try and enjoy my angling without taking it to seriously as to me it’s just fishing! I say well done for your success! For me I couldn’t be a sponsored angler as that would take all the fun out of my fishing
