If you guys get the chance to visit Sarawak again, try go to Kapit also. It's the largest division in Sarawak. And they just got a proper road connecting the town by road this year. Before that, people would go by express boats.

2:28 Those floaters are to mark fishing net so that boat's engine wouldn't get entangled. 3:58 Ask any Sarawakian, many would say the same... 5:40 You should never put out your hands like that because you never know if there's a tree branch or twigs in the water. You could injure your hand if it hits you at that speed. 7:45 The beach is not cleaned and those dead tree/wood usually floats from further upriver and pushed to the shore by the ocean. A very local beach.

Ken…if you reach bintulu, go to tanjung batu beach..there u you can see a beautiful sunset and many more…eat some bbq and can get a fresh coconut juice, and also small zoo near that,as i mention to you last time..dont forget to go to night market located at the old bintulu town, previously,that location is a old bintulu airport..according to the guiness wolrd book of records yr 1981, this airport is the only airport in the middle of the town last time..now this area is under development and the tallest building in sarawak also there, The peak…

you guys are experiencing a wonderful moment of difficulties like the locals travelling by river...this is how the locals survived make full use of the connectivities we have in Sarawak...sometimes just forget about the road..go by the river..this is what Borneo is all about...River, jungle,Mountains...etc...all Nature adventures..

In year 2019, we used speed boat in our audit trip at logging camp located beside Sungai Kakus in Bintulu, it is quite fun, but can be dangerous.

Speedboat might overturn if it meets strong waves. Some have warned me of this, but so far nothing happened.

if you guys have some free time, do go to Similajau National Park and trek up to Golden Beach. very accurate name, and very pristine beach. granted the last time i went was in 2016 though, but shouldnt change too much

Usually the locals will help if one is not shy to approach them. Great of you, Ken to do that. There you go, five foreigners, having fun on a boat ride along the river. Shout-out to Mr Gula and his father. Love the scenery along the journey. A nice walk along that "private beach". Wow, the sunset is breathtaking beautiful. Nice experience for you guys.You will find this type of adventure if you happen to visit Mulu National Park.You will amaze by the nature around that park.You can go there by flight or Express boat.Miri will give you the best sunset once you reach there as Miri City is just alongside of sea side.Have fun and cheers.

@@KenAbroad Mulu is the most iconic place Ken.. please dont miss it.. its is among the most beautiful UNESCO site.. having one of the largest cave in the world which is can fit 30 boeng 737 if i am not mistaken about the fact of Mulu Cave.

saltwater crocodiles travel along the coasts and live in the estuarine brackish waters around the deltas...so, there are crocodiles in the sea...

Regarding the crocodile warning sign, there are 2 types of crocodiles in Borneo, the fresh water crocodile(usually in rivers) and the saltwater crocodile(at sea). A few month ago someone shared a video of a crocodile on the beach grabbing a dog that came too close at it. Don't where exactly(some said it was in Miri), but based on the language of the cameraman, sound like from northern Sarawak or Sabah.

If you are lucky you can see the rare Proboscis monkeys!! They have big flat nose and tummy!! Only found in Sarawak!! Enjoy!!

Mukah! The Melanau's heartland! You guys should learn some Melanau language while you are there. Most of the Melanau are Muslims. But there are also Melanau who profess Christianity and some who adhered to local indigenous religion.
