After not fishing for a longgg time...Last week I couldn't take it anymore, so decided to go on a quick morning mission to look for Wolf Fish (Wabeen as we call them in Trinidad).
First step was to catch live bait...One cast with the net was all it took! Then I went to the spot and immediately spotted some monsters!!!
Things didn't start off soo good as I missed quite a few fish, including what could have been by personal best wolfie...
While fishing, I met Uncle who was living on the side of the river bank and he said he would have liked a couple fish to eat! With a new mission in mind, I switched up tactics and finally started landing a few fish!
So while the fishing was realll fun, I was even more happy to provide some food for uncle in the form of fish!

Uncle has a great lil spot there! Who knows what hard times he would have been through and now ended up there! But its all good! I know you love your Fry Dry! you should check out the spot further down river along the bank there’s a huge current area similar to this one. a lot more wolf fish correlate and nest around there. bigger ones to

Nice vid bro…very nice gesture from you to give uncle something for his plate..I myself do a bit of fishing for wolf fish these days…the banking line works for me as well but question for you..what size leader do you use..I know u use mono..I had my first bite off last week!

Thanks bro! Was happy to give uncle a couple fish to eat! Banking line definitely is the go to set up! I use between 20 lb to 30lb leader...If you fishing for monsters, you can always use a small piece of wire to the hook! You does get plenty bite offs sometimes!

Almost all freshwater rivers in Trinidad have wolf fish...You just need to find the deeper holes...They all congregate there!
