Hi Robert! Late beginner is harder than it sounds! Many people stay on this level for a while, so it’s not unusual ❤️ Developing beyond this level depends on how you practice and whether your foundational technique is solid enough to add more complexity. People who learn without foundational technique often struggle to get beyond this stage. But if they fill in the technique gaps and start practicing methodically, they can suddenly progress quite dramatically! There is hope 😃

I do have the book but I haven’t used it so I don’t have a suggestion for you, sorry! 😬 This is a great question though, maybe you can ask on our Facebook group and see if someone there has more experience with this book?
