I like your approach to fishing and your respect for the fish. I personally like the thrill of the hunt without excessive carnage

Thank you for proving that these absolute monster dock snook exist! One surfaced on me while bringing in a small redfish from a dock and almost ate it, but it caught me off guard and I think I spooked it. No one believed me that a giant snook like 40"+ was about to eat it. Awesome catch, takes skill to land something that big in that environment

You, sir, are a seriously bad-ass fisherman. Hats off to your abilities.
@jakewkayakfishing84574 жыл бұрын
Absolute beast! Well done beating that fish quickly and sending her off strong. As soon as you laid it on that dock I said it was 44. They just cut 8 ft. boards in half when they build those so there is no waste. I'm still after a 40 plus. I have landed countless in the 36-38 range on jigs, but that 40 still eludes me(I have lost a few). People who mostly flats fish smirk when they see the big gear I use to land snook around bridges from the kayak, but they don't understand that those fish need to be beaten FAST when they are in heavy structure like that. You can play a fish for 10 minutes on a light rod and 2500 reel on a grass flat, but that will just be a break off leaving a fish with lead stuck in his jaw if you try it at the bridges.

I love that thing. Brown's Taxidermy in Port Canaveral made it and they ship everywhere. If you ever need something I highly recommend them. They'll even give you a discount if you tell them I sent you. I made a video of him painting when I went to go pick that up. Check it out, it was pretty cool to see the whole process. kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4rVhqKZlNmapcU

Kinda crazy catching your biggest snook right off of a dock in the middle of residential boat docks everywhere in prob 4 feet of water...like shooting fish in a barrel!😎
@logans62634 жыл бұрын
Way to put on a clinic! Your position above him helped make that possible... somebody in a boat would’ve never stopped that beast in those tight quarters, regardless of their gear.

Very nice bud!! That is the same way I got my pb. Fishing the end of a bridge, really close pilings. I was able put pressure straight up and brought her to the surface. A bit of splashing and it was over. Someday I would like to show you how long it was. Once again great job!

That was a freakin hog bro!! I love that setup you used to haul that monster out of the water. Tsunami is a really good brand, I own a Tsunami surf setup myself but it really haven't been truly tested yet (with the right fish anyway). The livewell setup was really cool too, I'd like to know how you hooked that up
