🎸What set Rory apart (and still does) was his ability to draw a screaming guitar sound from a Vintage Vox AC30 combo amp turned up half-way when everyone else was rocking the world with stacks Marshalls.His first consideration was always Music.He was mentor and founding member of Taste,a trio which pioneered the way for so-called heavy bands,with his Irish trio he laid down the foundation upon which many groups subsequently were built.Rory’s trademark is his battered ‘61 Sunburst Stratocaster which has seen him through countless festivals,concerts and albums.His music will forever live.

Wow! I watch Midnight Special pretty religiously back then - but missed this!! Very happy I found him on Don Kirshner's In Concert about the same time!!!! Fan ever since (short gap in there a little bit) Even bigger now!!

This must have been recorded shortly after the 1974 Irish Tour. Lou Martin is there and Rory's stylish hair is a bit longer then on The Tour clips.
