RIVERBOAT HOTEL - THE DELTA KING - OLD TOWN SACRAMENTO -

Taking a hotel holiday with my lady friend in Old Town Sacramento's Riverfront Park, the Delta King. The Delta King, and its sister ship the Delta Queen, once transported passengers between Sacramento and San Francisco during the late 1920s and the 1930s. But with the completion of the Golden Gate Bridge, giving easy access to San Francisco and the Bay Area, the steamships were no longer needed. Eventually they were sold off and the Delta King fell into a horrible state of disrepair. Eventually it was bought by the Coyne family, restored and refashioned as a hotel which now resides at Riverfront Park in Old Town Sacramento.
