In first and second season they were 17. Third season happens one year after beginning of the first season so they are 18 now. It was said in first episode. Archie said that Jason was 17 and he was supposed to go to 2nd grade of high school so all main characters (Archie, Betty, Jughead, Veronica, Cheryl) need to be the same age. They were going to second grade too. And in the third season they are going to 3rd grade.

Episode 12 is when Bughead got back together and episode 13 was the episode of “Carrie The Musical” overall, season 2 was trash.
