anyone with half a brain knows it's not over yet, it hasn't come out that they cheated yet and Archie is straight up leaving bc she rejected him +she kept one diary. I just want them to do justice to the archie comics and do barchie for a full season bc I'm so bored of having the exact same relationships for the past 4 seasons.

@@heyitsdaliiii Archie=#1 Main character which means whoever he loves will eventually love him back. I'm not saying you're right or wrong with betty loving archie bc no one really knows until she says it to jughead or archie, but how am I supposed to believe anything cheryl said I mean how would she know anything about how betty's feeling, her and betty have only started getting closer while her and jughead were dating so she doesn't have any idea of how betty really feels for archie, the only person who should've been giving her that talk is kevin bc he knows both those relationships inside and out so he would give better advice on what betty is truly feeling. I think while her and archie were in the bunker she was actually considering dating him but then she flashed back to a time when archie broke her heart and decided to stay with jughead because she loves him and he loves her, there's no doubt in her mind about that but with archie she's afraid of leaving someone she loves to someone who could break her heart all over again. you can say you think they have no chemistry (which I think they have the best chemistry out of any core four ship) but you can't seriously believe they're gonna keep the same couples together for the entire show that's the most unrealistic thing ever, barchie was always gonna happen, even the showrunner said the show would be a failure if they didn't have betty and archie date.

I honestly don't understand how people walked away from the episode just believing in what Cheryl said and not really listening to Betty's confusion right up until the end when she burnt the diaries - and I agree with ky nicole - "if you have to be that dramatic to get yourself to stop thinking about Archie.." And what doesn't make sense? They're 17/18 years old. Betty and Jughead being together for practically 4 years 15-18 is what seems less realistic. Betty and Archie have a foundation to build a relationship at any point in the future. And if they're smart - they'll do it. They owe it to the Archie comics, and to the audience who really seems to want something fresh and not the same relationships every season.

hell yeahh.. people are getting mad and such that they cheated and they hate barchie but they dont realize they have been in love for years. and that childhood bestfriend/crush never goes off that lightly. archie wants to go to the navy bc he doesnt want to think about it.. betty decided she wants to burn her diaries and not think about but deeply inside she knows shes still in love with archie ever since. people need to stop hating on the fact that they like bughead just because of cole sprouse and lili.. if jughead was another actor, people wouldnt have that same type of hold for bughead and may have liked barchie.

Things definitely aren't over between Betty and Archie. And to answer your question, yes! There will be a time jump in season 5! Unfortunately due to covid 19, the last 3 episodes of season 4 (4x20-22) were pushed to S5. So the first 3 eps will be prom and graduation, and then a 4 year time jump

Unpopular opinion : The Bughead ship has ran its course. It was cute as first, but now its boring. The same thing occurs for Varchie. The chemistry between Betty and Archie (Lili and KJ) is so good. My opinion : I used to be a diehard Bughead shipper but, as I said, it's boring now. I have been shipping Barchie from season 1. I have been a fan of the comics when I was younger and Barchie was my otp. Barchie NEEDS to happen. Barchie IS endgame, and if they don't make them endgame, I am literally going to cry, but they will forever be endgame in my heart. Also Barchie is the reason I started to watch back the show.

That's what I was thinking. I'm tired of them having the SAME relationships since season 1. Like you have no idea how happy I was when Ronnie started dating Reggie, and I was legit so upset when she went back to Archie. Same with bughead, I'm tired of them being a couple lol.

If Archie isn't hypnotized or something I genuinely wouldn't blame Ronnie for cutting off contact and never speaking to him again. He was ready to leave her without a second thought and cheat on her without a hint of guilt lmao. At least Betty had hesitations and backed out last minute, Archie has to be the bad guy for no reason? The hypnotization thing better be correct. Somebody said Charles is trying to break up Bughead because his siblings dating creeps him out which would be the funniest and most forgivable villain motivation of the entire show.

This episode was SO good. The tapes storyline is super intriguing. Also, I can't be the only one that forgot Ethel existed. When I saw her on the screen, I literally said, "This bitch is still in Riverdale??"

I don’t think she is just holding on to him. I think Betty is in love Archie because even when Archie wasn’t chasing after her. They kissed in season 2 and then Archie was kinda starting to crush on her. Everybody says their relationship is “perfect” then what do I say about jughead, they’re literally rarely talking anymore unless it’s about some type of mystery or them hooking up. It isn’t like in the first 2 seasons

I find it hard to believe that after the time jump they will do BA and never touch on bughead/varchie again though.... like those two ships were so prominent in 4 seasons of the show. BA had background moments but they didnt really interact a whole of a lot until this season. I have no problem with them exploring BA but I dont think the writers are suddenly gonna change their plans for the couples.

Elia Simon I mean. They changed their plans for BH so it can now be back on track. I personally think that Veronica and Archie won’t return after the time jump. Though I don’t like BH, I do think there’s a solid chance they will he visited and Betty will have to make a choice.

I’m pretty sure varchie is gonna be over, especially since Roberto said that there was a whole mess when Veronica found out, and since archie is obviously in love with Betty. But Betty isn’t, and it’s obvious Bughead will come back if something happens since I mean come on, even if you ship varchie you have to admit that Bughead have the most chemistry and they truly do love each other.
