i was a taxi driver at the time when the riverdance grounded and it was like the season had started early as i have never been to cleveleys so many time's. because people wanted to see the ship. this went on for weeks. even all the cafe's were ringing there staff to come in as they were that busy. but i guess the best thing about what happened was that nobody died....

I've been on the Riverdance to Ireland, I still have my Ticket, sad to see her cut up.

Had a walk on the beach with our dog in cleveleys yesterday, they’re still talking about it😂

Hello digicam11, yes it was very sad to see, I have also done a Riverdance Ferry Demolition Part 2 video. It was late November before they removed the last remains of the boat.

They were all lorries that were on the Riverdance. The fact that lorries hadn't been secured properly was one of the reasons why the Riverdance became unstable in the bad weather.

I remember going to see it it 2008!!

Were people's cars on the ship when it grounded? I'm assuming they had to leave them there if they were....

If I remember rightly I think one of the lorries actually managed to drive across the sands. I think all the lorries in the end were exposed to sea water and would of probably been scrapped.

What a wasted video!! It was supposed to be Part One of the demolition, but the only thing I saw was a blowtorch at the end of the video!!
