Just watched you boys doing the Greenbriar River in my old home state and now you are up in my new neck of the woods in Ashe County, NC. I've done this run several times enjoying the placid waters with not too much challenge but enjoyable none the less! Glad to have connected with your river trips and adventures!

Looks like a great trip. I love this section of the New and camping at River Bend. Hope yall left us 12 Stones guys some firewood for our trip up there this weekend. Always fun to see Greg's camp set up and load out. ..😂. I love the Bluff burger at the Bluffs....always a good stop when up that way.

There was already no firewood in that camp! We had to scrounge for what we found...this is unfortunately the biggest downside to camping in a designated camp site. I am writing this as you guys are out there...hope you are having a blast and staying dry!

Great video and an awesome trip. I did the catawba river from powerhouse rd to watermill yesterday and i used one of your videos and some others to research the trip. We had a good flow and a really good day.

My friend and I have been doing the South Fork for the last two years. We always start at Zaloos canoes, travel to 221 for the night, then take out at kings creek. Curious if you would recommend another river similar in difficulty that is camping friendly like the new river is. Also love the channel, would love to run into you on the river some time!

The new is special that way. It is probably the most friendly in difficulty, and camping and shuttle that I know of. Perhaps a different section on this river? If you want to travel a bit, the current river in MO would be a good one.

Just a question tossed out here... how will weighting in at close to your kayak weight affect the handling of kayak. Weight limit is 275. I am 260..

You should be fine. They all feel a little sluggish when heavily loaded, but they still go...

After over a year off water and bilateral knee surgery. I did Patton Run and nantahala fall upright.. the kayak community disappointed me when my wife swam and not a single throw rope was thrown .. but we both off the river safety

I went on a bike tour in NC back in 2000 and stopped in a place and got me a burger and they asked if I wanted everything on it I said yes well thinking like a Nebraskan it was going to have onion,lettuce, pickle on it but nope it had coleslaw on it and it was aaaaawesome
