This week on Drifting.... North. Lodge Life is back! I am on my way back up to Rivers Inlet for the summer to cook for the staff and guests at Good Hope Cannery.
But first, a quick stop at home to visit my family and a good friend in my home town of Barrhead Alberta.
Coming soon I will show you my commute to work by boat from Vancouver to Rivers Inlet with an overnight stay in Port Hardy.

Oh i miss lodge life, so many great experiences and awesome people. I was a Chef on the West Coast of Haida Gwaii for a summer years ago, burn out is real for sure but its cool at the same time. Have a great summer!

Thank you Charlie! I’ve been working on this video every moment I get. There is a lot of work happening up here to set up. I was really thankful for being in the warm cabin. It was a bumpy ride and I actually got sick 🤢 but I’m here now and happy to be sharing the season with you again!! Thanks again Charlie!

worked for shearwater marine for a few summers then covid ex brother in law was crew on the boat that brings your food up there good times great to see you back at it and thank you for sharing

I spent last winter in Baja in my motorhome! It was a life changing expierence! Mex 1 will do that🤣🤣

Have you been following on my Baja videos also? we had a great time down there this year but I’m afraid it did not prepare me for a 10 hour day seven day a week job ha ha living life as a beach bum. Thanks for your comment. Take care.

No I haven't, I stumbled upon your video on lodge life. Did you guys stay at Playa Juncalito by any chance? One of my favorite boondocking beaches spent 2 weeks there on the way down and a week on the way back...

Hi Brandon! I am about to leave for a week off and I have 3 weeks off planned in June. Sometimes we get half days off to go fishing or exploring but yes. Burn out is real!! Thanks for asking!!

I moved to Edmonton in 1980 and went to work at the 4 seasons hotel a month later my best friend moved out from Ontario and moved to Barrhead and was the manager of the Alberta treasury branch in Barrhead,great place and spent a lot of time there on days off many memories. Thanks for sharing your videos,love them ,stay safe.

@@jenny_adriftHi Jenny, your memory is not so bad, you were right about it being a daigle. there made in Campbell river. A Highly respected crew boat manufacturer. I didn't know much about ironwood boats before now. I'm a fan now after watching your video. Keep the videos coming. I enjoy all of them :)
