He knows about every penny that came in or left the government coffers. Could Sim have been involved in financial irregularities while serving as the accountant general of Rivers state and that's what Wike probably has on him? First, why was it necessary to sign a written peace settlement agreement? Second, is mr Wike representing another state to warrant a written peace agreement? And is there any boundary dispute between Mr Wike and Rivers state that could warrant written consent? Thirdly, has the president went a bit too far by initiating written peace settlement, and especially between a person serving under his authority and a state governor who is elected by the people of Rivers State? Also, if this is a political dispute between two people in one political party, then, why should the president intervene? Could the president be usurping his power over another major political party in the country? Also, has Mr Wike defected to APC, a political party in which the president belongs? And if not, why is the president seems to be protecting Mr Wike?

Mr. Epelle is absolutely correct, this ceased to be a political matter when the legislators defected to APC and the courts got involved. I don't understand if these journalists are ignorant, APC members, or willfully mischievous. At this stage, there cannot be any agreement outside the tenets of the Constitution, any rational honest adult -- not just lawyers and journalists -- should know something this elementary. President Tinubu has no power to inject himself into this matter at this level, he has practically overruled the Rivers state High Court by his so called presidential proclamation -- he has no such authority unless Nigeria has been hijacked by a criminal clique.

These are the people beating the drums of war in Rivers. All parties have agreed to shield their swords and allow peace to reign, why the headache? Where were you guys when Wike, Fubara and others were campaigning and making all sorts of agreements? No one can really say what the real issue causing all this brouhaha is? All their speeches are quoted in political undertones and innuendos. But at the end of the day, it’s peace that matters. Fubara should know how to play his game and understand that not all the people around him are trustworthy and loyal. His primary job is service to the people of Rivers state and as long he is delivering, the people will be on his side, not by tribe but by trust and believing in his capabilities of delivering the dividends of democracy to the people.
