The fictional Prince Henry's story closely resembles the real-life Prince Harry's story and is certainly inspired by him, with the exception of the h0m0sexual part. Actually, Prince Harry is rumored to be b1sexu@l, and I've always thought that his rebelliousness is, in part, an internal conflict with not being able to come out.

Does anyone know how and why the transition from the Polo scenes, in England, to the scenes in Paris, France without a reason? Did I I miss something? Or was it left out.?

The changes of scene indicate meeting across the passage of time and space. Both boys move internationally due to their roles in the world, and if you think about it, shows how hard they worked to meet up. The changing settings are condensed in the film, but take place over 13 months (Alex's mother says, in the scene after Cake gate, that she has 13 months to the election and the final scenes of the film are set that night.
