I love these Sturgeon videos. I even went to this spot about a year ago for a couple nights. Even found some leftover pyramid sinkers.

Amazing how things change through the years yet at times remain the same. I’m from north east Florida and my dad was a big time surf fisherman in the late 40s- and all through the 50s and he always spooled his bait caster reels with all Dacron line. The poundage I’m uncertain of cause I was very young at the time but he was excellent with casting and managing his fishing with the rig! We would spend the entire weekend at the beach camping under an old abandoned hotel that was built out partially onto the beach which gave us a perfect camp spot out of the weather. Great times. Love what you guys are doing.❤

What I do when I cast out my line to fix the spool is I wet it first,m then cast as far as I can so I can surpass the part that’s messed up. Then I fix the spool..

to bad we can't keep them!! see the homeless pulling them in and cooking them up almost every time i go out fishing. shame watching them waste 7+ footers.

You should report that anytime you see it happening! It's anonymous and nobody will know it was you who called in the poaching incident.

A shame? I understand what you mean but for a homeless person it's definitely not a waste... plus I rather see them fishing than committing crimes to feed them selves. Some people don't have many options.
