Riverside Community Hospital’s Incidental Findings: Lung Nodules

Meet Mark Godfrey, who came to Riverside Community Hospital's Emergency Room when he experienced a heart attack. While reviewing his chest images, our physician teams noticed a nodule in his lung and a biopsy was done by Dr. Asad Javed, Pulmonologist at RCH. It turned out to be cancer. Mr. Godfrey had surgery to remove the nodule. Had he not experienced a heart attack and RCH had not looked for additional findings, Mr. Godfrey's cancer would have progressed unnoticed.
