Yes I do! Mostly one on one interview so far and zoom was working OK until the last two times I used it and it kept either dropping one of us or having quality problems. Yesterday we bailed on the interview because I didn't want to waste the time of my guest. So now I'm looking for what else is out there and because of quadriplegia I operate on an iPad. That's far Riverside is the only program I have found that has an app.

Yes sir, it's called "This Pod Needs A Name" on Apple and Spotify where I do movie and TV reviews, dip into character analysis and find how we relate to the characters

So far I've recorded 50 podcasts with Riverside, and the biggest issue I have is that my audio, as the host, is always out of sync with the video. As this problem does not affect the guest tracks, I suspect the problem is related to me flowing my audio through a Rodecater Pro, and then a Scarlett 2i2. This is a known issue and apparently cannot be fixed by Riverside. I just use a clapper when I start my podcast and align the audio manually in post. Not a big deal, but disappointing.

Do you need Descript if you sign up to Riverside? And is there another service like Riverside that is better than Riverside? I'm an educator and need something for tutorial videos. Thanks for your honest opinion.

@josephMartin Do you know if you can have the video recorded in 4K using a laptop, with say a Macbook air or such? OR does the webcam video limit you to 1080?

It depends on the resolution of the camera. If your laptop has a 4k camera, then yes, riverside will record in 4k. I just wouldnt be able to upscale a 1080p camera to 4k

@@JosephMartin Okay, so there is no point in using Riverside if you have a laptop camera that is 720p or 1080p? Unless I was to get a webcam that was 4K, I'm assuming?

Great video. The main issue I’ve had with riverside is there is no ability to add a virtual background. This seems like it would be a given since riverside is so much more advanced than Zoom but I guess not 🤷‍♂️
