awesome advice... what other brands would you say are some of the best? maybe Brinkely, New Horizon, DRV?

Thank you - appreciate the positive feedback. Great question - unfortunately I can't give you an answer about the other brands because I don't have any experience residing in them but I can say that what I have seen on the road while transporting rv's for a living - those brands are on the road being transported to dealerships - so they are getting sold. Thanks for your information. Riverstone has made several changes over the last few years and just seems they are dropping things in the search of saving them money. Because the unit cost has only gone one direction. I really thought it was the better rig built but when I went to a dealer to actually see one, they are not or were not as great as I would have hoped. Are you able to discuss some of the areas you did have to get repaired or warranty work. Thanks again.

We had converter problems, hydraulic jack problems, toilet issues that I fixed myself. It took 5 months to get the manufacturer to reimburse the money for the parts I replaced. We still have door issues that never seems to end and the fireplace needs to be looked at but I haven’t started that project yet because we are on a road-trip to Alaska.

you said "i might buy something smaller"... the problem I've found with "going smaller" is that the same rivestone, new horizon, drv, luxe... type quality is not available in 30-35... I can find a single 3" wall model under 35 feet. Would be awesome though.

I would consider a riverstone but they all start over 40'. I want a 36'. So a jayco Pinnacle is my next choice. But in any case, you have a beautiful rig!

Love the colors of your rig. Maybe diamond plated stainless for the area behind the truck? I would think that most high end RVs have the never lube bearings now.

@@TheRiverstoneLife I hear your concerns about towing a 40’ rig around the country and constantly having to fix things. My 46 year old Airstream keeps me busy as well. I’ll be interested to see how the underside of your rig looks, especially in the front where it has been so low to the ground for the last couple months. It Must be sealed well otherwise you would have critters getting inside. My neighbors both have 2018 Reflection 5th wheels and the front end caps on both are already peeling from UV exposure.

I had it custom built in Florida at a welding shop. The one we purchased off Amazon broke after 260 miles there’s a video out there about it.

Research, research, research! Know what you are getting into before going FT. Just like in a regular home, things break, things need to be maintained and fixed. The more you invest in maintenance, the cheaper and less often things break.

Pulling a heavy trailer like you have full time is very very stressful on you and more important on the vehicle you use. Yes I know all 3 brands in a duly model can tow it but it’s too heavy and will wear out your truck too soon. You’re going down the road with almost $300,000.00 and neither truck or trailer is a good long term investment, trailer probably better than your truck. For that kind of money I think a good well taken care of diesel pusher would be better.

Man thank you sooo much for sharing this. Women want to go EVERYWHERE but do not know the secret panic in our hearts when doing MAN stuff like hauling dang near 30k of weight down a highway and your ATTACHED to it lol. I will take your advice and find a place to leave it. And hire a company to move it maybe once a year or so. Safe travels to you and the fam sir💪
