Oxhorn. Saint Monica in the fallout game is based off of the real life Saint Monica of Hippo. In the real world bible Saint Monica of Hippo was the morher of another Christian saint. (Saint Augustine of Hippo). In his childhood Augustine was an unruly child and a troubled maker. His mother Monica preyed every night to God in hopes that her son would repent. Eventually he did, and became a saint himself. Clearly Father Clifford's version of the story is a side effect of the lost Knolage from when the bombs dropped.

No, I know. But I'm suggesting that perhaps *this* Saint Monica might actually be referring to an entirely new post-war Saint, rather than actual one. The Catholic Church survived the war and we even know of a functioning Abbey that Marcella was from. Personally I think its unlikely they would have mixed up Saint Monica of Hippo by throwing in details about ghouls etc. into her life. More likely, some authority for the Church is actually canonizing new post-war saints, which is even more interesting IMO.

No, you’re not the only one who’s squicked out by using ant queen pheromones on Diego. It’s rape. Full stop. Angela is using a mind-altering substance to coerce him into a relationship, meaning Diego’s ability to give consent is compromised. The karma on this option should be reversed, so that you lose karma instead of gaining it. But consent issues aside, I also fail to see why convincing him to leave the priesthood should result in a karma boost in the first place-if Diego thinks being a priest will make him happy, we shouldn’t interfere with that. It’s his life, his decision. And if he decides later on that it isn’t making him happy, he can always change his mind and leave the priesthood. Sure, Angela doesn’t get the relationship she wants, but she’s not entitled to have him-*nobody* is entitled to a romantic and/or sexual relationship with anybody. No means no, and she needs to accept that and move on. The real villain of this situation is the vow of chastity and celibacy, IMO. I believe the idea is a load of rubbish, since I don’t consider sex inherently dirty/sinful/shameful. I wish we’d been given the opportunity to convince Father Clifford to abolish it, as most real life Protestant Christian sects have done. That way, Diego still gets to be a priest, and he can still be with Angela if he so chooses. Everyone’s happy.

I weird glitch came up in my game where Clifford, Diego, and Angela stood there as if the wedding was going on, but the actual ceremony never happens. They just stand there and do nothing for the rest of the game. The residents even come in for the wedding every day at 3, but nothing happens. They just awkwardly stare at each other and chat about the same stuff. Even if I kill one of them, they just stand in the same spot when they become non-hostile again. It's a funny but annoying bug and I couldn't find a way to fix it.

For what I recall, if you speak to Diegeo in between giving Angela the pheromones and the wedding, he will confess that his memory of the whole deal is a blurr but that Angela has made him believe that he let's say "attacked". To try and repair what he believes he has done he "is going to do the right thing and marry her". That puts another layer of messed up upon the whole thing. Quite honestly, I don't think a teenager who would drug someone into doing something they wouldn't do on their own volition and than lie to make the other person feel like a monster is quite marriage material. Can you imagine how much of a blame game the marriage will be if it starts like that already? And she is a teenager, what is she going to do if later on she decides her infatuation for him is over? It is kinda chilling.

I heard Todd say once that he feels the devs are well rehearsed in world building, and that the next step for their games is to make all the AI much more intelligent. Maybe they leave us without a dose of NPC's in '76 and then blow our minds with Starfield and TESVI! I can dream at least!

I can't remember but he doesn't do many interviews pre 2017... I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find. I'm pretty sure it was after they made Skyrim, maybe around the time that FO4 came out. I'll see if I can find it and link it

I saw it a long time ago, I'm at work so I can't scrub the internet atm... It definitely had something to do with the radiant AI in Skyrim though. I'm pretty sure it all adds up to an amazing TESVI either way so I am pumped! Imagine a full scale war or something like that, absolutely pushing hardware barriers. Gets me giddy just thinking about it!
