I love that you put the image of the model up in the corner of screen when you show the machining process. My ADHD brain can't keep multiple steps in my brain through a whole build, and those images keep your progress toward the big picture clear. ClickSpring and Grünblau occasionally do this, but i wish more KZbin machinists did it.

Hey, I'm the one who made the parts and even I lose track of what I'm working on! I'm glad you like the added views, I'm going to keep using them == I don't think i'll every be able to make it as seamless as the Clickspring X-Ray, but at the very least I can indicate which way is up!

@@TabletopMachineShop- too bad the little picture can show up on the wall while machining. It would likely help in making the parts once. I keep looking at the wall in my shop and it never appears for me either. Maybe I should focus more on the part 😁

OK, who cracked open the time capsule? It's been over a year! This one of the very best machining channels on KZbin. It's incredibly inspiring. Perhaps, it might get me on the path to embark on my CNC build.

The plan is Power Feed --> Injection Molding Machine Finale --> CNC Lathe --> Turret.. The turret doesn't do much good without a lathe to go on!

I've heard the name pronounced RI-vette, like the car Chevette. Minor point, obviously, but we gage each other's credibility by little clues like pronunciation. Probably some ancient tribal instinct. Also, I recommend a 2-fl-oz squirt bottle with blunt hypodermic needle for spraying coolant. Buy a few and load them with IPA, WD40, and your other favorite cutting fluides. Especially works well when parting on the lathe. Another trick is to have all the fasteners. Buy alloy socket heat cap screws, short and long. Then modify the head if needed. You can make a low-profile head, flat head or slim profile on the lathe. It's surprisingly inexpensive compared to the time spent shopping and the irritation of waiting for your McMaster order to arrive.

Oh interesting, I had no idea! You may freely gage my credibility as lacking on this particular machine; the company started, had a good go of it, and went out of business well before i was born, and information is scarce! Good call on the smaller squirt bottles -- an atomized spray is mostly wasted anyway. Proper coolant and containers is on the list, but it's a bit of a luxury item at this point! Good call on the fasteners, it's another system I'm figuring out -- it's just funny when I have 12mm socket head screws and, for some reason, design a mated height that has to be 10mm. Oh well. Thanks for the comment!
