Omg, Kevin, the knife trick!!! Wish I knew that before!! I've had so many stuck,and been using the nail punch trick, as is suggested by other people, and it only made giant holes... And was still stuck!! One of my attempts even made a dent in one of your flowers!!! It's ok,though, I can file it out, but, I'm so amazed how easy it was to pop three stuck ones in 5 seconds, with the knife edge....that I've tried flush cutters, nail punches, the freezer...trying to heat it, etc,!! Lol!! It's literally the leverage in the way you show. Cuz I've tried the tip or edge, but was more scraping it. You've saved me!!!

What if you don't have the cylinder attachment on the press? Would you use hard or soft polyurethene?

Kevin’s I still have one stuck in the shot plate. It’s been in there for a for yrs. it’s one of the bunch of plumerias I bought all of. I’m so bummed. Tried averting. 😭

Hey! What did you use on top of the shot plate & ball of silver before striking with the hammer? Ty!
@gerybryson8327 Жыл бұрын
Help! I was too good at sizing my ball of silver..put oil in the shot plate, ran it through the press and little to no edge was there to pop it out. Not grabbing any edge. It's the shot geometric components. 😢

Are you melting your silver/metal on a regular brick or a kiln brick? Are you willing to share the detail of where you obtained these shot plates?
@gillianscott89697 жыл бұрын
Okay so you make the shot plates yourselves! I only saw your business name come up at the end of the video.. but if you could please still answer the question re the brick that would be much appreciated.

I always have to mute the first 5 seconds of your video, because the audio is SOOO much louder than the rest of the video. It's quite startling.
