Rivian R1T and R1S noise reduction and windproofing

Is your Rivian a 2025 model? I wonder whether Rivian has fixed this in the latest build.

2022, and I don't know anything about changes to the door seals in the second generation.

Would it have been better to start in the location where you need to extend down past the glass and then install counter-clockwise? I'm imagining that would be easier with less cutting/waste

I did that on another window, I don't think it makes any difference. The stuff is too cheap to care about wasting a few inches.

​@@CAAlvarez602Just got my tubing from Amazon and can confirm that this fix is 100% solid. Did it on both my driver and passenger side. Thanks for the tip. FWIW, I didn't cut mine into segments like in the video. I ran it as one contiguous piece.

It decreased wind noise, but I didn't have whistling. Some people do, and there are reports that some Rivians have a defective trim at the front bottom of the side window. I wasn't really "fixing" a big problem it was just an audible general wind noise.

i notice some cross winds when i drive through at high speeds or windy areas in my 2024 R1T, did you notice a significant change with this fix?

@@ridgeunk4968 I simply don't recall specifically being in any cross winds or what it did. There were improvements in everyday driving on the highway.
