Why does Riviera have the helm on the port side? Almost all motor boats and yachts favour the helm on starboard. Seems a strange decision, especially since Australian road vehicles have the steering wheel on the right of the car, it would seem odd for an Australian boat builder to deliberately go against the grain when it comes to boats, when it would otherwise create a nice synergy with Australian motor vehicles so that everything is right hand drive/starboard helmed.

In Australia we are not regulated to drive from certain sides of the boat. Riviera will design and configure the helm in the best way they can to suit the boats layout. Some of our models are starboard side, some are central & some are port side.
