What a beautiful waterfall. The river water is so clear. This forest full of beautiful flowers is very attractive. I love flowers, so this garden was very impressive. It's similar to the England landscape. I would like to visit there some day ! Thanks for nice sharing, Ivor 🤗🌼

Hi Ivor and Robert Canada isn't somewhere we know a lot about but it always looks so beautiful with some amazing scenery. It's good to look back how fast 10 years go by. The gardens were stunning the chair on the bridge was a great place to rest. The light blue flower 💠 I think were morning glory either way what a lovely colour. There were some beautiful flowers but the lupins topped the lot amazing to see such a large patch of them together we have never seen anything like it before. Your film quality is really good for 10 years ago you would think it was filmed recently. Thank you so much a really enjoyable video. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

It was our first proper visit to Canada and a real eye opener. We loved the whole trip filled with such variety. Those blue Himayalan Poppies (Meconopsis) are stunning. The Morning Glory you are thinking of is a similar wonderful blue flowered climber. I am no expert but this is a plant I really like and so the name has stuck. Those Lupins were everywhere growing wild along the roadsides. At this garden the whole meadow was filled with them and an incredible place to walk through. We were amazed to think 10 years had passed since this trip. Glad you liked it.

Wonderful to see the first day of your visit to Canada! I’d love to visit Quebec and these wonderful Reford gardens! I loved seeing all the flowers and especially the huge field of Lupine flowers in bloom! Such pretty colors and tall spikes. The river is lovely- what a great place and a great way to end the day! Hello Jennifer. We really did love Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces (we tend to love everywhere though). The signage in the garden pointed us to the wild flower meadow and we were stunned to see that magnificent array of Lupins. They are everywhere as one travels around here growing wild at the roadsides. In the UK they are favourites in many gardens, including our own, but we do not see them growing wild. We were to enjoy many more as this trip progressed. The St Lawrence river is amazing to see. Years ago I remember geography lessons that introduced this amazing body of water to me. It was so exciting for me to travel alongside. Ivor thinks that I get excited about the strangest things. That Bed & Breakfast where we enjoyed a wine with the sunset over the water was just wonderful. It was a great start to the road trip. Thanks for watching. Have the most wonderful week. Lovely place; waterfall, river, great architecture and a beached submarine. Then, the second part, featuring a large and a not-so-large chairs and a smorgasbord of flowers and fox gloves. The blue flowers were my favourites, although I couldn't tell you what they were. The chateau looks very nice, as did the sunset!

I had learned of the St Lawrence river many years ago in school and it was so interesting to travel alongside on this trip. The far bank was getting further and further away with each passing hour as the river widened into the Gulf of St Lawrence. It is cited as one of the widest estuaries in the world. That location for the wine that evening was just so enjoyable. Thanks for watching.

This was a wonderful trip exploring an area that was totally new to us. I would really recommend, but then I would recommend road trips pretty much everywhere. It is a really great way to explore. I love the piece of music in your intro, it made me think of EPCOT in Walt Disney World. Quebec looks like an amazing part of Canada, with its interesting looking buildings, river so huge I thought it was the ocean and other random things to see around the area. You can get there on a no fly cruise, so maybe one day I'll get to see this magnificent place without the hastle of flying!

Hello Nettie. A cruise would be a great way to travel up the river. I understand that liners go as far as Quebec City which is about 780 miles upstream of the open sea. Quebec City is amazing to visit. The buildings are much influenced by Brittany from where many departed to start new lives in what was once the colony of New France

This area does not have the dramatic peaks of the west but it does have some wonderful old mountain ranges and a lot of amazing scenery. Totally different character too with its French influences. We really enjoyed our trip here.
