Pacquiao is really a Legend. Good show of sportsmanship and respect from them both. Well done
@peaceful4you4083 ай бұрын
I wouldn’t call him a legend but he was still a very good boxer though. That one fight did not look good for Pacquiao when he got put to sleep by Juan Marquez. A lot of people lost respect for Pacquiao after that Marquez fight and it definitely put a hurting on his reputation for sure. Plus, he was never able to beat Floyd Mayweather on any of the 3 chances he was given to redeem himself. Losing to a guy 3 times just looks bad. Athletic legends never let losses like that take place in their careers. Sport legends either go undefeated their entire career or the very few losses that they do take, are usually very close split decision fights. True legends are fighters like Roy Jones, Mohamed Ali, Floyd Mayweather, and Mike Tyson. All those fighters either went undefeated in their careers or they took very close losses that could have went either way. If Gervonta Tank Davis continues on the successful path that he’s on, he too will reach legendary status when he retires. Manny Pacquiao would have never been able to beat any of those fighters I just named including Gervonta Tank Davis. Look up the definition of a legendary boxer. The definition will tell you exactly what I just told you and it even gets into details about wins losses and everything else too.

I honestly figured this was a fight that was determined to be a draw from the start and it was just an exhibition to put on a little show. But, unless it was truly someone how communicated, when he threw a couple of those punches that Pac ducked under, that would have flat lined anyone coming in that hard and fast. And Pac's reaction really did seem off, like he wasn't expecting him to throw something so hard. So, it really did make me question things. But it was a fun fight to watch over all. Edit- I made this comment before I knew that it actually was already decided to be a Draw before the fight started. Which makes some of the shots Anpo threw really crazy to me because if one of them had landed clean I'm sure it would have floored anyone.

@@masis2001 Pacquiao's excuse after his fight with Anpo was not injury, he said in the post-fight interview that the mat was more difficult than usual. However, Anpo's fight with Pacquiao was suddenly decided only a month ago, and he prepared while suffering through rapid weight loss in a short period of time, and yet he still managed to overwhelm Pacquiao with great results. Pac can't fight 12 rounds. In his prime (or even 5 years ago), Pac can chase him around and blind him with punches from all angles, but at 45 years old, you can see Pac was tired after rd1, breathing deep and sluggish in rd2, and gassed in rd 3. At 11:10, Pac used all his stamina for that. In his prime, Pac would've done that since rd1 and massacred Anpo with punches from all angles. At 45 years old, Pac was gassed after he did it once in rd3. Pac was so tired he thought the 10sec bell was the gong. Now, if Anpo was the same height as Pac, Pac can easily play with him, but Anpo is much taller, so Pac doesn't have the stamina to invade anymore. What Pac used to do was crazy high level, and he can't do that at 45 years old.
