I'm wondering about the world's AFL format- whoever gets 5th in swiss will get the really short straw where they are tied in match count with 4th and 3rd but will go into playoffs in the lower bracket with one life, while 3rd and 4th go to uppers with 2 lives. If that format was used for this major, G2 would have been 5th seed in the lower bracket while spacestation would be 4th seed in the upper bracket. I think merging these formats in a way that makes sense would require tiebreaker matches for teams finishing 3-1 in swiss so that a team isn't sent to lower bracket purely off of gamecount.

It's weird bc I think this G2 roster winning an event is the least interesting storyline team, probably ever. Going into the LAN, everyone understood that G2 was just a mosh of star talent from a desperate region, and watching them dominate all season has been very boring. Like there's no natural build-up or reasoning for this roster, the players have no personality, and the team formed out of a corporate acquisition that was not RL based. It's just about having overwhelming mechanics and game sense, and I found that really, really boring.

G2 wasn't even given the proper respect after all the shit they talked they couldn't have even said yh ggs they did what we said they couldn't do. 45:44 what about assigning each region a "rank" where you can only play in regions 1 rank up or down from yours. NA, EU, SAM, and MENA would be rank A. OCE rank B. APAC and SSA are rank C. This way if you are from EU then you can only compete in Rank A or Rank B regions
