One of the many things I love about this is: RJ really wanted to be a Knick. His Grandfather was a huge Knick fan and actually predicted he would be a Knick someday. Dude has a supremely versatile skillset, the desire/fire to go with it, and is just a flat out cool cat. He's been a winner all his life, bring that to NY RJ!! Welcome, brother.

Rasheed Alkhalik Michael Ray was on NY before Bernard...If I remember correctly, KNICKS traded him to the Nets for Bernard. He was on NJ with his brother Albert. Ray Williams was my dude who also got caught up with addiction - nowhere near as good as Michael Ray but he was the only other dude that I can remember that actually could ball on that squad. Ernie came off the bench and Bill Cartwright was still young. Then there was Marvin Webster, Rory Sparrow, Louis Orr, etc. I remember that squad well.

@@postapocalypticradiooq4134 sugar was drafted in 1980, ray 78(?), Cartwright 79. I believe, way before Bernard came to the knicks. Micheal Ray was traded to Golden State for King. Late 82, early '83? The 2 kings never played together although both were drafted by The Nets, Bernard mid 70's, Albert early 80's. For a year or so, that Knicks backcourt was on some nights, unstoppable, other nights, TURNOVER city. Both terrific talents, both weak mentally BBall-wise and lifewise. too bad. I apologize if the years are a little off.

It's entirely possible for RJ to make rookie of the year. If Knicks don't get a few all-star players, RJ would be the #1 option on the Knicks with no other big scorers. Zion will play on a loaded team - Jrue Holiday, Ingram, Randle. Morant is also well-positioned but will be asked to facilitate more than score. RJ can well post numbers similar to Luka Doncic's last year. 16-18 pts 5-6 rebs 5-6 assists.. maybe with bad %s, maybe with lots of TOs, but still great numbers.

Barrett's chances at being the Rookie of the Year may well have a lot to do with whether the K's can find a pass-first point guard.

I say let frank start . Frank, Barrett, Robinson, Knox and Iggy. That would be my starting five. If Fiz simy coaches Frank he wi be fine. Drives me crazy that Frank will bring the ball up then hand it to a big man at the top of the key...for freaking what?. If Frank would penetrate or go straight to the pick n roll we would be fine.

Hopefully the Knicks keep RJ, so he'll be a recruiter in 3 years for Zion after his rookie contract expires. They both desire to play on the same team, and they both love the Knicks!! If that happen The Pelicans can run the show since the next opening days till 2023!! If Kawhi sign with the Lakers, We all know, no chances for anyone!!
