@@rj2571 well thank you. I'm looking to build a kit for an old friend who still operates a '62 Hank with a dump trailer. @@butchs6099 It's been a while but I finally have some info. Illini Replica Conversions made some Hendrickson conversion kits. They made a late 40"s A Model, a 1960's B Model, a 1970's H Model and a 1980's VT 100. But unfortunately I do not know if the conversion kits are still being made.

Hello, I am looking to see if anyone has any information on who owns/built the Ford LTL9000 at about the three minute and six second mark about the period correct sleeper doors that are on the truck. If so the kit I have doesn't have those sleeper doors. I would like to reach out to the guy whom possibly scratch built the door or bought the doors separately. Any information would be appreciated thank you!
@rj2571 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment, Mary. I wish I could help more, but I do not know who built the LTL9000. Maybe someone else who reads this might? But I will still try to help. May I ask what version of this kit you have? Italeri issued two versions of this kit. One as a tractor in 1993 and one as a tow truck, called the US Wrecker Truck, 2004. The tow truck came with a smaller sleeper similar to the LTL 9000 in this video that you mentioned. Revell of Germany also issued this as a tractor in 1993 and was most recently issued by AMT just a couple of years ago. The first Italeri, Revell of Germany, and AMT versions are the same model. Just different box art, decals and branding on the box.

They were mostly 1/25 and 1/24. I did see several 1/16 as well.
@alvintarrer6914 Жыл бұрын
Can you get these trk in 1/16th scale,an where?
@rj2571 Жыл бұрын
There are some 1/16th trucks in this vid. They are highly modified toys that were originally made by Bruder and Ertl. I don't know who built them, but whomever did build them did a very nice job with them. The only 1/16 trucks I can think of are the Monogram releases from the early 80's when they made a Peterbilt 359 and Kenworth W900.

Plus I myself love ❤️ these model car and model truck replica videos 📹 please keep posting them on KZbin for me and other people who love to watch these because they give me and other people great ideas on just how much to improve on the way's that me and alot of other people like to build our model's I just turned 58 years old am I to old to be building models?, because I started building models when I was only 6 1/2 to 7yrs old at 58 am I to old to be building models or should I just ignore what other people say when I tell them just how old I am and they tell me that I'm to old to be building models because they say that this hobby is just only for kids and not adults why I've heard of people in their early to mid-60's building models in fact one person told me that he was 67 yrs old and he had a brother in his mid-50's still building models, so am I really to old to be building models when their are people that are in their 50's and 60's building models would someone please reply back with your answer to my question as to whether I should keep doing a hobby that I love to do so much!.........
@rj2571 Жыл бұрын
No, you or anyone else is never to old to build models. If it's something you enjoy doing, then by all means do it. The part I enjoy the most of the shows I go to is meeting new people and seeing friends I've met over the years going to these shows. I've met many great people and that alone has made this a very rewarding hobby. If there are any shows or contests in your area go and check them out. I've learned that almost all modelers at the shows I've been to couldn't be happier to tell you about their models and how they built them. Like you I also built, or attempted to build, models as a kid. 10 years ago I started building again and have learned so much over that time. And still a lot more to learn.

@@589truckerman2ndgen You're welcome. Yes, it in Wayne, New Jersey at the Wayne PAL. I'm sure you and your dad will have a great time. This is a great show. Lots of builds and a great vendor area. The Tri State Model Car club hosts the show and they do an excellent job with it. The Wayne PAL is easy to get to. Usually the line to get in is very long. Many people get there hours early and wait to get in. But even with a long line it does move quickly once they start to let people in. It does help to print your registration forms ahead of time, but they do hand them out to the people who are waiting in line that need them. If you need a hotel there is a host hotel. I'm now currently working on a model of a g.m.c. general Coca-Cola conventional truck but it won't have the Coca-Cola decals on it instead it will have the Gaines foods refrigerated food transit company on both the truck and the great Dane refrigerated(refer)trailer. The real Gaines foods refrigerated food transit company refrigerated(refer) trailer is 40 feet long, the model trailer I'm going to be building is a 1/25 scale refrigerated(refer) truck trailer only half as long as the real great Dane refrigerated(refer) truck trailer. The color of this g.m.c. general conventional truck with a sleeper compartment mounted on the back of this truck cab is painted 🎨 the color of satin aqua blue 💙, the great Dane refrigerated(refer) trailer will closely match the truck trailer but this great Dane refrigerated(refer) truck trailer will also have a black top a large white stripe that runs down both sides of the trailer and across the bottom of the front of this truck trailer as well,this will be the 10th truck that I have built and only the 3rd truck trailer that I have also built. Because I'm also working on building a gravel hauling truck trailer as well. To add to the Coca-Cola 1972 Peterbuilt pacemaker 352 cabover truck and trailer that I have built,I have built a dump-truck that is silver and pig 🐖 skin pink with a silver dump bed, I have built a Peterbuilt 359 wrecker. I have built a Los Angeles County California fire department fire truck for Los Angeles County fire department Station no: 106 I have built a 1970's international transtar cabover truck, and I also have built a 1980's white-freigtliner cabover truck with the logo thunder bay sand&gravel company located in Lansing, michigan and I'm currently also working on the gravel trailer that will be hooked up to the white-freigtliner cabover truck and I will also be building a second gravel hauling trailer for this white-freigtliner truck as well,I'm now also working on building a model truck replica of a Ford ltn-8000 maintenance dump-truck for the county of Alpena, in the state of Michigan and Alpena,michigan is were I now live.I will also soon be working on building two more truck's a kenworth w-900 conventional cement truck and a kenworth w-925 conventional model truck replica kit that I will also be building a moebius 1/25 scale replica of an actual 40 foot long flatbed truck trailer that I will place a load of crushed scrap junk cars 🚗's to a scrap recycling company in Atlanta,Georgia. And in the near future I will be building some more new model car replica's and model truck replica's as well to add to my model car and model truck replica collection.

Oh Ford has built some great truck's as well as has g.m.c. and Chevrolet and even the truck's that dodge, part of the Chrysler corporation had built as well. Volvo has even built some very excellent and great truck's themselves and all the truck companies named above have built some very excellent and great truck's that are still on American road's and even still on the road's of Europe 🇪🇺 and even alot of these truck's are still on the road's of Sydney Australia 🇦🇺 as well as other countries around the whole world 🌎. 1: Peterbuilt 2:kenworth 3:international 4:Ford 5:gmc 6:Volvo., these are the only 6 truck companies that I can only think of right now.
