I make mash-ups and I know for a fact that it's hard to make two songs fit. But this mash-up was done really well (and to make songs fit, one song may need to have a much lower pitch than usual -- thus making it seem awkward) but if you ignore that, you can appreciate the mash-up. I really like this, actually :D

CMIIW, but Monalisa is LOWERED by 1 note and Paparazzi is ALSO LOWERED by 1 note. It isn't perfect but they actually match quite well. The pitch lowering is needed to avoid copyright infringement or something like that, I guess.

I don't think pitch lowering have anything to do with the tempo (tempo = the speed/pace of the song). It is more likely to match the 'key' between two songs.
