Rules on dating depends on the company. some companies have a strict contract that allows no dating whatsoever but other companies, for example SM Entertainment, allow their idols to date. There are even certain instances where kpop companies put a ban on dating for only a certain amount of time and then after that time is up, their idols are allowed to date. For example, JYP Entertainment has a 3 year dating ban and after those 3 years idols are free to date. Every single company, however, wants their idols to keep their dating a secret which is incredibly unfortunate. I think part of it is to protect their artists from backlash but I personally believe it's mostly cause these companies don't wanna lose out on money due to obsessive fans boycotting the idol for dating. Kpop, at the end of the day, is a capitalistic industry and the companies are at fault for breeding a culture where idols dating is considered "taboo" lol. I don't really think it'll ever change tbh.

Many times is only a verbal agreement because I read that isn't legal. And if someone think that the public is who have the power and the power to decide you are really fool. Companies blame the public for the decisions they make just as governments blame citizens for theirs. People should learn how the system and power structures work. The companies want to avoid any cause that makes fans lose interest in idols or become uninterested in them so they can gain more money. But reality kills the narrative and we know that idols date and nothing has happened to them or their career and we know from some like Super Junior's Heechul that they date continuously, he and others have said so. Oh boy Love Talk is iconic! Beyond the lyrics, this song is just a vibe and sung so gorgeously. To answer your question, this was definitely written for them and quite a lot of their songs are, but I'm sure some of what they've written has been personal experience lol and NCTzens are a little more on the chill side when it comes to the idea of NCT dating (there are definitely some crazies), but we generally are pretty sure that at least half of them have been dating over these past 5 years. Even though we (affectionately) like to joke sometimes that because they've gone 5 years without a legitimate dating scandal, that they couldn't actually pull someone. But really NCT are all grown men, I'm sure there's some experience here lol either way I love the music being produced.

It's usually that other people write songs for them, especially in SM, they don't really trust(?) their artists with that, which is sad, but the first thing for companies is making money, so they rather hire professionals for composing, writing etc. BUT it's pretty common to let the artists participate in the writing Korean (or in this case Chineese) versions of the song. And you should have in mind the fact that demos for the songs are written by western composers usually, so that might explain the spiciness of the lyrics. And it's really funny that Kun has adapted the lyrics for the song, bcs demo was just wow, so you can consider this as a family friendly ver in comparison with the demo 😂😂 But I really like that you pointed out some things in the lyrics, such as about not knowing the person's name and so on. I can feel that you're a really nice person, so I enjoy your videos a lot ♥ thank u

When it comes to songs they do get them from writers, but some of the lyrics they also change/write themselves to fit the concept. That being said have you heard "Baby Don't Like it" by 127 yet? That song... yah Mark & Taeyong wrote their rap verses, I'll leave it at that. I’m not sure you’re aware but there’s a big scandal going on right now with Lucas because of some girls accusing him of basically being a player who “gaslighted” them because he flirted with them, they bought him lots of stuff, had sex with him and he told them he didn’t have a girlfriend or something unclear like that. But if this was the other way around and there was a female idol who was clearly being sexualized by her company and men were buying her stuff, sleeping with her, and then angry she wasn’t committing to a relationship with them, we wouldn’t call them victims.
