Stuuning effects. Take-away is manipulating the piece at different stages of curing to create dimension and depth. Love that you used the CraftCoat for the sample board. Would love to see a piece with mostly whites with a hint of aquas and metallics(of course😉). Just something very pale yet interesting. Thanks Rhonda and entire RK3 team💙

I love alll your video..., but I had to watch this one three times in a row !!! I'm wondering if I could pull this off in blacks and silvers (?)

Absolutely!!!! I did it with Bright silver, Deep silver and black mica powders. It was so cool!!!!!

I'll be trying your slate technique tomorrow. I love that finish. Never would have thought to dilute my paint that far, and add more water to an epoxy project. Seems counterintuitive, but you can't argue with the finish. Stunning!!

I'd like to see what you do with gray. And softer neutral tones. Beige and off whites.
@carrinmoore5 жыл бұрын
Of course love it I wonder if that technique would work with pearl white and a couple different grays been getting a lot of white marble requests I’m just scared it will yellow I know about art coat but on stones page a lot people saying they r having yellowing issues any suggestions
@RK3Designs5 жыл бұрын
Try using SCC White Mica powder to tint your epoxy. Looks amazing and I've NEVER had a problem with it yellowing. Also, if you add a little Pearl metallic, it adds just a touch of off white to make it look so very natural!

Came out beautiful! Can you use the stone coat craft on kitchen counter tops?
@RK3Designs4 жыл бұрын
I wouldn’t. Craft coat was designed to be an inexpensive product to use on crafts projects or practice boards. There’s no UVA, heat resistance or durability factors.

I think I made a typo. I am wondering if the artist epoxy can be used in a kitchen or bathroom for counter tops?
@RK3Designs2 жыл бұрын
The Art Coat epoxy by Stonecoat countertop is just like their regular epoxy but has more UV protection. It’s great for countertops! You’ll want to use when you’re pouring a white or light colored finish.
@darlenewilliams79005 жыл бұрын
So you can do this to tile countertops with grout in between? Do one tile at a time?

QUESTION: CAN I JUST LEAVE THE METALIC & ALCOHOL IN THE SPRAY BOTTLES INDEFINITELY OR SHOULD I TAKE OUT THE SPRAYER AND FLUSH IT OUT BETWEEN JOBS? I AM NOT PLANNING TO DO ANOTHER PROJECT UNTIL LATE SPRING.
@RK3Designs3 жыл бұрын
Great question. You can leave them in there indefinitely as long as you have a good quality spray bottle. That way your alcohol won’t evaporate. 👍🏼

Love this. Rhonda I am gonna try to go over my kitchen countertops that have already been painted and finished with polyethylene and would like to do some shades of grey maybe small amount of black, maybe even a little gold in a fault line. Something done easily by a homeowner as a one time project, oh yeah on the cheap!! Can you come up with something, I see a lot of stunning countertops but really not much in grey tones.
@RK3Designs5 жыл бұрын
I would do a Carrerra Marble with White Mica powder, Pearl Mica and some black mica powder. This makes and absolute FABULOUS countertop. I will be doing a video of this in the next couple of months.
