Using this video I have just removed, cleaned and replaced my Neff hide and slide oven door, I was dreading this task as I've had problems in the past, but it had to be done as gravy or some thick type liquid had managed to get in-between the glass panels. So...used the video to take the door off, used the oven instruction manual to take the door glass panels out, and finally used the video to replace the door...Job done, will never be apprehensive again needing to take the door off, defo the easiest to follow on YT. Massive thanks!!👍 Oh yeah, finally, anyone out there wants me to come round, remove and replace their oven door....give me a shout!! 🤣🤣

This is so easy to do. Took me about 2 minutes. The door mechanism is brilliantly designed and so easy to clean when its removed and the official Neff video is absolutely spot on. I cant believe people have found it so difficult.

Thanks for the bit about getting the door back on. I was completely at a loss looking at 3 rollers that weren't in a line and nobody could have guessed that the claws could be engaged the way you showed it. Neff should build this troubleshooting step into their instructions, judging by your 190,000 views from people scratching their heads about getting the door back on!!

And again, for the third time, I watch this video so I can put the door back without letting the bar get out of it’s cradle. A big THANK YOU for this video! I hope NEFF has an alternative for such a hassle. It is very easy to get breadcrumbs in the inner part of the door.

We encountered the door won't go back on problem. It was exactly the problem you describe. We hadn't got the door in the lock position properly before pulling it off. The hinges then whacked shut. Your trick with the screwdriver to lever the hinges open didn't work for me. The hinge was too closed and my screwdriver too long such that it got in the way when trying to get the hinge far enough open to lock. So I wrapped an old USB cable around the upper circular guide, made a handle of the lengh of wire and used that to pull the hinge into position. Job done in five minutes and the door back on. Sadly it took me over an hour to think the USB! But I would not have got there without your demonstration. THANK YOU!

Ok so after taking off over 200 doors I can do this in seconds now, there's a couple of points that makes it easier and to ensure the luggs don't miss the cradle. 1 Don't open the door so much 2 after turning the coin slots pull the door open a little more and you'll hear a click. Which is the door locking in place. It's subtle so you have to be gentle. Anyway good video.

Hi Steve in the 18months I have had my slide & glide oven I have only managed once to take it out and clean and that I think was a fluke as I have avoided doing it again due to the difficulty I had found the whole process to be. Needless to say my oven door was not looking its best if a pan boiled over on my induction hob it seem to spill over and dribble down into the oven door I should not have had my hob above the oven big mistake. I decided to today to look again on you tube to see whether anyone could help me understand the process of getting the door out for cleaning when I looked a year ago I didn't find any help however to day success you have helped me and for that I am very grateful I now have a sparkling oven door I don't have to make sure the tea towel is in place to hide the door which was stressing me out and spoiling the look of my kitchen. Although I’ve removed the door before, this video was a life saver when the bar disappeared to the back of the oven and the door almost launched itself back off the hinges. Luckily my wife noticed there was more video to run so I was able to retrieve the bar assembly (which promptly came to pieces) and eventually got it reassembled with the lugs in the right place. Without this I think we’d have been looking at a new door as a minimum. Another greatly viewer.

Steve you’re a genius, thank you so so much. Last night my oven door literally fell off whilst cooking dinner! An hour later and another attempt this morning we still couldn’t get it back on despite closely checking the instructions over and over and looking at a Neff video. It was your mistake that you cover at the end that resolved our problem... we weren’t able to get the rolling bar set to stay in the right place under the door, and yes it kept going to the back as well, your close up allowed me to see that our end locking rollers were on the wrong end of the bar (LH one was on the right hand end and vice versa) so although we had considered that the big hinges should click into them they just wouldn’t connect.... now I’ve swapped ends of the bar over and managed to get the big hinges to lock in and pull the bar back...yippee I then managed to get the door back on! The Neff instructions are rubbish, the only pic of the hinge and bar is so tiny that even using a magnifying glass 😀 didn’t help! And there is no mention of how the hinge and rolling bar connect which is rubbish given the ease at which all the rolling bits fall off the bar. I’ve had my oven years and never taken the door off so it’s strange how it decided to come unhinged last night 😂 Again thank you so much Steve

I'd stay well away from the hide and slide oven, unless you have a narrow kitchen,spills always go down the door and the oven itself is smaller due to the mechanism off the door being integrated into the oven. A basic neff, Bosch or AEG is better in my opinion and the doors are very easily removed for cleaning.

Hi Steve. Very useful video, but once the door was removed the locks on either side have returned & wont relocate? So the mechanism is no longer at 45o so we can’t slide the door back in. Do you have any suggestions please?
@RootsKent4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sandy, a) Use the coin to 'unlock' the hinges (top is pointing to the back, as 2:30 in the video). b) You need to pull the hinges down to the 45 degree angle. Be warned the ⚠ SPRINGS ARE STRONG AND ARE LIKELY TO {{{HURT/BREAK/CAUSE PAIN TO YOUR}} FINGERS IF YOU SLIP! ⚠ so I've always used a lever to keep my fingers well away. I've used a long screwdriver between the two disks in the past. Please be careful. c) once there and whilst still holding the hinge in place, use the coin to lock the hinge. d) SLOWLY release the hinge until it stops in position. e) Do that for each side and you should be back at the 2:04 mark of the video. By the way, did I mention ⚠ THE SPRINGS ARE STRONG AND CAN INJURE YOU SO KEEP YOUR FINGERS WELL AWAY FROM THEM.⚠ and for readers who's first language is emoji -> finger-hospital-plaster-pain! ->☝🏥🩹🤕 I hope that helps Steve

So I have a problem with the bottom rail - thank you for pointing that out - but how do you get it back in if it has come out completely? Help!
@RootsKent4 жыл бұрын
From this point here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/jamQe3Wkbc2Aftk ? You need to manually move the arm with the black circles as if the door was being opened (pull them down a little), that lifts the claw and you can slide the roller arm back under. WARNING: They are strong springs - WATCH OUT FOR YOUR FINGERS BEING CRUSHED! I used a screwdriver between the circles as a lever and to keep my fingers away from where they could be squished. Remember to move the circles you'll have to disengage the lock (use the coin) and when you do that you'll get the whole force of the spring.

So I am having getting the door back on, but the latches on each side lock sit at different angles. When unlocked the right hand latch sits higher and this remains true when fully locked in the latch position. Do you know how to adjust the set points so that both hinges sit at the same angles?

Thanks so much Steve for this video - worked a treat for getting my door off! I now have the problem that the rollers on the left side aren't aligned. They're stuck up and need to be down. Any ideas??
@RootsKent6 жыл бұрын
A very late reply (sorry), but for anyone else reading this; If the two rollers are vertical you need to manipulate (move them) to the angle you want to slide the door in and then lock them into position (the part in the video where I use a coin). MOST IMPORTANT though is to know there is a very strong spring in these hinges so BE VERY CAREFUL not to trap or crush or injure your fingers. If they spring back onto a finger I suspect it will hurt! To do this myself, I used a lever (a screwdriver) between the two rollers, but I'm still very careful not to trap/crush my finders if the lever slips out.
@mickcork15 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that, very helpful after I dropped a knife on the glass and it broke. The only problem I had was the same as your one - the sliding bar was outside the "claw" catch. Hello I have cleaned and put my door back but it is stuck on the right hand side. I cannot get it in or out! Any tips please?
@RootsKent2 ай бұрын
Hi, you'll get there, it needs a little gentle patience and repeating the steps. When the handle rotates it pulls a cable that releases a catch. Try the handle in different positions, push the door in and out in the direction of the hinge/sliding over the round bits, lift/lower the door slightly in directions other than along the direction of the hinge/round bits. It is likely something is sticking and resisting moving so we're aiming to keep doing small things that reach the point of release. If it makes you feel any better, I had the same problem at home earlier in the year and it took me 5 minutes to remove the door. I also went to one of our clients for a 6 year old oven and their oven cleaner man who couldn't remove the door (and he removes lots). It still took me 5 minutes and then it released whilst the 3 of us were chatting as I tried different positions. Finally, the last step once it has released and you have it all back together, remember to come back here and like all my videos please 😁 I hope that helps, Steve
