Rlaarlo AM-D12, To easy to bend? You be the judge!

So I ordered this buggy after watching some of the larger KZbin channels, it was eye catching and seemed tough guys! So far for me! Not so much, maybe I just got a bad SOFT chassis…I dunno! I can’t say one way or the other until I get the new one in, but as it stands currently for me I would say spend your money elsewhere. Hopefully I just got a bad one and all will be good, I’ll let you know!

T must have been one hell of a crash. I've been bashing mine for a good 5 days now with no issues on any of my jumps or flips or tumbles....

I literally jumped it one time… in 1st video… flat landing in grass bent the chassis… a few jumps later had a nose ish landing and twisted the front of the chassis…. Like you I have bashed and abused others and no damage…. Hopefully it was just a bad chassis combined with a bad landing!… we will see I guess, new chassis on the way

Ya I’ve had mine & other then the front dog bone popping out I’ve had no issues I’ve definitely jumped it but just like everyone I’ve seen videos of it just sent but none of the damage like this. But definitely if you take it off jumps that are huge for it’s size definitely gunna be some carnage 😂

I did a small jump in my yard with it both steering link's popped and it bent both driveshafts. I am a basher and I don't have time for a truck that has weak parts. I sent it back.

Buggys are not made to bash!! Its made to rip in the dirt! Its not always on the car or truck, imo .. now if it was known basher i get it to some point ! But Im not doing repeated jumping but bashing the hell !! out of it on the dirt and at the beach ... but to each is own im not rich nor a reviewer so im taking care of my stuff because i dont really have a lot of time fixing on them ...

When this rc first came out, rlaarlo set the standard for what its intended use was, ramp jump contest, speed I used it as intended and it bent very easily. I do not break my things on purpose nor am I rich or make a dime on KZbin. Was just putting a video up of a car that in my opinion was not as described, not tough at all. I appreciate you watching.

It was pretty close… but believe it or not… it wasn’t damaged in that crash. It was damaged off the ramp. Got a new chassis for it and it is holding up pretty good now!👍

Ive had nothing but problems with my AM D12.... The hex screws on the bottom of the metal underbody randomly come loose during driving and got lost. Ordered new screws from their website and they sent the wrong ones which made me strip the fitting. the front shock/strut also cracked. Also the control arm keeps popping off from the hub and ball joint. its insane how many problems i have compared to my cheap DEERC H16R that i havent had a single problem with

Same here brother!… pinion gear stripped on mine also so it’s been sitting…it’s junk but people are defending it like I’m a Rlaarlo hater…. But I’m not… I actually really like my Ak 917 and Ak 787

As much as I'm liking the CF AK-917, this is "bad news" for AM-D12 owners. When it comes to companies like Traxxas, Associated, and the Horizon Hobby brands, they (at least) include a 30-day warranty on all RTRs. For example, when Traxxas released the Sledge, and the chassis got bent immediately, they replaced it at NO charge. I'm guessing, this chassis is 6061, instead of 7075, and is probably a bit too thin. While I'm skipping in getting this one, the upcoming release will (probably) be a different story. 😉 🤙🏼

M2C racing isn't going to make a chassis for that piece of junk. They make high-end parts for high-end trucks and that will never change.

I mashed into a 1/8 truck head on and bent the shock tower within 10 minutes. I'm guessing the combined speed was over 60. Got 3s and slammed into a pole which did bend the chassis a bit, ripped the control arm and steering knuckle off. Replace the cheap bits, hammer it all straight and go bash. The aluminium isn't so tough but for the money it's damn good.

Yea…. I really didn’t do anything that should have bent I like it did….. I purchased a chassis and rlaarlo sent me the shock towers no charge….so at least they did something. The customer service at Rlaarlo has for sure improved since AK-917 gate!

The truck is quick but not even close to 60 . 45 is more like reality.

@@Rcprescription WL toys rlaarlo LC racing 14th scale trucks all the same truck sure most of 12th scale truck stuff is all the same too 12th scale nothing but a longer chassis all the same parts. Got the rlaarlo mini kraton already broke a few things on it had some WL toys 144001 parts in my parts drawer from past projects worked fine.
