I have been listening to this for some time and I keep on discovering new details. Truly inspirational. The breathing technique is so well planned and doesn't disturb the flow. It has an equal first place on by private flute rating along with Menguy's tempus fugit which I also love.

1:46 I'm trying to figure out how to make high sound with the flute. Her mouth doesn't really seem to change much, but the corner of her mouth pulls back ever so slightly when she kicks it into the second octave. I wish she had a good solo album, maybe with someone backing her on guitar, or maybe concertina.
@petercane68904 жыл бұрын
The beauty of her playing is in the lilt, the articulation and ornamentation which takes many years to obtain such a high standard. Why aldulterate such beautiful playing with accompaniament? She does't need it. The Irish flute like the pipes is complete as it is but only in the hands of a talented player as you have just witnessed. And B Jaysus she's talented thats for sure now. Only my opinion but leave the guitar out. Leave it pure. Pete

Great! I'm trying playing irish music with my made baroque flute. I almost don't understand traditional rythmical push ornamentation.
@MiscreantRose5 жыл бұрын
Tokinori Yanagita You just have to keep listening to the music over and over, and the rhythms will become ingrained for you, and it’s same with the ornamentation. Just focus on the plain melody as you start playing, and the more you listen to the music, the more you’ll start to feel it and it will find its way to your fingers. 😊 You’ll find ornamentations jumping in on their own without you even having to think about it. Play on!
