Super helpful! Thanks for wording out some equations in this one too (eg. Q=CV, I=V/R, etc.). Ik they are basic, but it’s very helpful to hear them again as RL circuits are a lot to handle (at least for me).

I had a similar circuit that involved diodes. One branch was a backward regular diode in series with a R, the cathode on the V+. Not sure what the voltages across them would be at steady state.

Please comment if my analysis is wrong. At t = infinitive and the switch opens, the inductor will resist any change in the current and will produce a back EMF to maintain the current of 1.25A pointing downward, and the capacitor resists any sudden change in voltage and is 10V. KVL, this is where i'm lost. if you could help and explain how to derive KVL at this point. many thanks.

Thank you. If you could, please explain what happens at t = infinitive, and the switch is open.
@GLu-tb1pb5 жыл бұрын
if the switch had turned from close to open then the reverse occurs and the inductor gains voltage while the capacitor becomes 0

Hey, I'm doing circular motion in class and I can't do this question: Earth has a mean orbital radius of 1 au. mercury has a mean orbital radius of 0.387 au. What's the radius of mercury in metres?. Plz help, thanks
@stepbystepscience7 жыл бұрын
That is not circular motion that is distance...first you have to find out what an au is and how long it is.

(@ t=0) You'd have to be an inductor if you think this video wasn't POSITIVELY the best at explaining RLC circuits. Over time (approaching infinity) I hope you'd be AMPED UP - and POTENTIALLY (in)DIFFERENT to future circuit problems. Great fundamental concepts explained, thank you for sharing!
