The wife and I were fortunate enough to be very close by to a very large transformer that was being transported, it weighed in the area of 450000 pounds. It had 2 semis up front in 2 in the back pushin with a 1/2 dozen bucket trucks, to leapfrog each other and lift up lines and traffic lights.and other half-dozen support, pick ups and a 1/2 dozen state patrol. It was quite the parade.

The behind the scenes logistics for a job like this have got to be insane, not just during planning but during the actual operation too.

It is. A regular load would take 10 hours. This takes days and weeks sometimes to deliver. Different rules in different jurisdictions. I am going to make a video on that. Thank you for watching my channel ❤️

That's one beast of a load. In my steel hauling days I would put 120K on the deck with my 8 axles. Compared to this 250k, I was a light weight 😂. What a monster load!

I'm filming at least 2 of these loads a day and every couple weeks catching some really big ones 450,000 plus ➕️ 😅 and 250 ft long, 120,000 is nothing to sneeze at, keep on trucking and thanks for watching my channel ❤️

@@RobertDrawbridge you do an awesome job! Great footage of these oversized loads. I just hate that the cops don't make those people move their cars or the city takes out that grass in the middle to make the turn better.
@RobertDrawbridge19 күн бұрын
@Lamar-ok5sl Thank you, I know that the jeep 🚙 is getting on everyone's nerves 🙄, but others waiting for it to be taken out in a dramatic way (me too). The city keeps replanting the sign in the grass and only lasts about 2 days. I am glad you enjoyed watching my channel ❤️
@Lamar-ok5sl19 күн бұрын
@@RobertDrawbridge yeah that's crazy that the city wouldn't get involved more with the oversized loads. Knowing that's like the main way out of there you would think the city would be just a little pro-active. I use to haul cars out of the port so I would see those loads all the time. I hauled cars in and out of there.

I'm always seeing wide loads coming out of that port and they always have a parked car there. You would think the city or state would make it easier for the drivers and ban cars from parking there.

@@RobertDrawbridgetotally agree with both of you, I wonder if the Port Authority has attempted to have the vehicle removed it’s clearly a safety hazard imo but this driver is absolutely superb in his ability and skills to work around the problem along with his team.
