In 2022 RL still can't produce neutral referees? Australian primary referee in an Australian teams semi and final. Considering the UK has a professional RL culture, surely they can qualify a few international level referees?

@@Robrulz666icloud I did not see him blaming the referee but other sports do have neutral referees and it should be something that they should work towards improving and standardizing referees as part of growing the international game. How would you feel if there was only English referees? I bet you would be first to demand Australian Referees if the Kangaroos lost a test.

Something was off with Nathan's kicking. His passing was on point but his goal kicking was off. Perhaps it was the conditions? Do they use a slightly different ball in the Super League?

Australia in league is only dominant because Australia (Qld, NSW and Vic - 1 team) is the only place rugby league is really played in with Great Britain just an offshoot. If you look at Union where it is played at a high level in many other countries, Australia are good but definitely not the best. Which means for the Rugby League World Cup to be competitive and not have constant cricket scores on the board, more must be done to grow the game in other countries and more incentive for players to choose to play for their heritage nation. Look what happened when a few star players chose to play for Samoa, they went from never making the finals to making the Grand Final in one hit. If Samoa had won the Final, the NRL would be panicking and would be pushing to change the rules to keep Australia number 1.

Toa Samoa 🇼🇸 was great and Ozys 🇦🇺still bench mark, for the suits and admin sheriffs like the rules in tiers regard, maybe a special tier for the polys, who make up nearly half NRL but not reflected in the management tiers as the skill fitness interest is here, and the infrastructure for overheads is not, like the larger RL networks, has for a while and the international game would thrive, like a city vs country in Samoa vs The Blues or Tonga vs QLD or Fiji vs Indigenous team, A stand alone combined Koori/ Murray team, Cmn big Mal Meninga, I’m an old Raiders fan, n Preston Campbell, like theNz Moari / ABs went from strength to strength would enhance heritage inclusion an cultural success where social is lacking for e.g. an the NRL / Kangaroos 🦘 have the depth an shown belief to accomplish this wether it’s an Arl or Rlpa stamp required the need for the next version of the Modern RL is here 👏🏾🤙🏾👍🏾
