As an English speaker I have studied these lyrics and watched the video so many times. I also felt his pain. But while the music video almost made me cry it was also beautiful. It was a strange feeling. Such beauty but so much pain. But in the first song on the album “Yun”, RM sings “true beauty is a true sadness, now you can feel my madness.” And in an interview Youjeen, the female vocalist, said the song was not really a comforting song. She said that her part was letting all the emotions out that RM has been feeling. Oh, and thanks for paying close attention to the lyrics. He asked ARMY to please listen to them.

In their last FESTA, RM talked about being the leader of the group was a lot of work, and he lost his direction, his purpose. Why he started this, and making music that really expressed and showed himself. He hasn’t been able to do that in a long time. They all talked about it, so they are taking this time to make music that they truly like, and be true to themselves, to find out who they are and what they want to share with the rest of the world. This song talks about that, he’s finding himself, he was swallowed by the pressure, the constant need to produce new music, new shows, travel, concerts, work, being the leader, meetings, etc…. He wants to be true to himself and make himself better by understanding who he is and getting a clear picture of what he wants. He’s coming back, and is going to be better. Same with all the other members. 💜

잘 파악하신거 같네요..ㅠㅠ 청춘을 바쳐서 방탄소년단의 리더로 살아왔지만 정작 자기 자신이 누군지 생각할 여유가 없었다는 남준이라 너무 마음 아프고 또 너무 고마워서 뮤비를 볼때도 몰입이 많이 되더라고요...이번 앨범을 만들면서 비로소 자기의 것이 생긴거 같다는 사람이라 앞으로의 모습들이 더 궁금하고 기대가 되네요

This song is so beautiful and so full of emotion as it made me cry thruout. Rm is such a poet and his lyrics are truly beautiful and poetic and manages to bring out all the emotion inside os me, not only this but the MV is also very beautiful aswell. Also I love just how raw RM is with these lyrics and showing his true self to everyone. This is why I love this man to pieces. After watching wild flower I can't help but cry it's so passionate yet raw at the same time and just so beautiful. I was completely speechless

omg i'm so so happy you reacted to wild flower!!! youjeen said the song is about "exploding all the emotions" so i think it's a really good song to listen to when you need to let out any feelings you've been suppressing. namjoon is my favorite member of bts and one of my absolute favorite humans in the whole world so i cried a LOT when i first heard the song, and i still cry because it makes me feel a lot of feelings. he truly is a poet and artist 💜 if possible i would love to see you guys react to the whole album, Indigo. it's 10 songs and so so so good!! no worries if you can't react, even if you just check it out on your own time would be great. thanks for the reaction 🥰💙

You helped me confirm that, so thank you! When I watch the end, I think RM found his way to be a flower as he fireworks on his career, to express the Silence of his depth through the lyrics of a busy K pop song. It's a song that strikes deep, I know it hit me in the same way. He's lived a life in his 20s that many will never relate to or have the opportunity to experience yet everything he has to say resonates so universally. He's genuinely a very very special person. If I can make one recommendation per your decision on tiny desk (and I know everyone enjoys music in their own way), Namjoon mentioned he hoped fans could listen through the album as is, in order, for the full experience. As a longtime army, it's one of my most memorable full album sit throughs I've ever experienced. I'm sure you're eager to get to tiny desk, I just wanted to offer my experienceThe beginning of the video and when youjeen sings the hook reminds me of RM and Jimin on American Hustle Life watching the fireworks and being in amazement of them. It brings a warm and fuzzy feeling to me. I love this album and it has a really good vibe where you can listen and reflect on your own life or just chill and enjoy the eclectic group of songs on the album. EDIT: . I've been on the verge with this song, and it takes a lot for a song to hit me that way. I'm so happy the two of you reacted to this song! Since I don't speak Korean it's so intersting to hear about lyrics from those who speak and are from the culture. I really liked hearing about flame and wild flower sounding similar in Korean and your take on what this could mean. For us who speak English, we're hearing the word play of flowerwork and flirework. Similarly, I think of him not wanting to feel/be like a firework that's kind of synthetic, blows up with such power beauty, only to fade quickly...and rather be free like a flowerwork (wildflower) in its natural habitat but yet affects what's around it. The petals floating are like a lingering feeling that gently touches you and remains with you. His wordplay in both languages is so other level and hus ability use korean words that rhyme with each other, English words that rhyme with each other and Korean and English words that rhyme with each other...wow. I love how raw and vulnerable he let himself be in this song and Youjeen's voice just elevated the song and its frequency. Thank you for this reaction! I enjoy your reactions! 💜💜💜
