RM actually sent Erykah a whole document explaining why her voice was important for the song and why he thought it should be her voice passing on the particular message in the song. And she agreed and liked him so much that she checks up on him every month. they’re good friends now

j cole is one of namjoon's biggest inspiration. he actually sampled two j cole's songs in his first mixtape (monster and god rap). there's also born singer by bts (using born sinner) and namjoon and jungkook ''like a star'' (using j cole's song too).

I freaked out too when I saw Erykah Badu in the track list. In an interview, RM talked about how he reached out to her. He sent the track and already written the lyrics for her to sing. He was a bit worried that it might feel a bit 'rude' to ask a legend sing something that was already prepared. he also sent videos about the Korean painter (that inspired the song) and explained all about the song. He was relieved that Erykah Badu is so open minded & was so nice to him, asking how is he doing, what's going on in his life right now, and so on. It's indeed a special collaboration.

Track 3 "All Day" is a great song. Tablo is a rapper/singer from the k-hiphop group Epik High. They basically introduced hiphop into Korean music. RM and Suga both have said that their songs inspired them to start rapping. I highly recommend that y'all check them out. Tablo is a musical genius!

13:50 *30 in Korean age. RM is born September 12, 1994. In Korea you count every year when you say how old you are/how many years you are and from January 1st every year you add one to it. So 1994 was his 1st year and 2023 is his 30th year. So there is a difference to how you say your age internationally. His international age now is 28 and next year he will turn 29 in September. In Korea you do not turn a year older on your birthday instead the year is what you count so everyone turns one year older with a new year on Jan 1st. You can think of it as if you save the year calendars from every year of your life, you would have one from the year you were born and add one at the start of every new year. Hope this explained it, sometimes it can be confusing for people how BTS members say they are one age that is 1-2 years more than what you would say they are if you look at their date of birth.

Namjoon is bias wrecking like nobody's business hahaha... All the Korean guest artists on RM's Indigo are legends in Korea. They come from different music genres - rap/ hiphop, rock, folk, R&B, pop. The foreign artists are iconic Americans Erykah Badu, Anderson Paak and UK artist Mahalia. You will lose your minds with the rest of the tracks including the title track Wildflower which has a sensational music video. It is very deep. You'll be bias wrecked again and again. 🤣

When the comment 'he sounds a little... black! " was made, I chuckled because the man learned his English from (well, we know it was mainly the show Friends but...) old school American rappers. Idiom, profanity, pronunciation - it's so unique for Korean ESL that he gets mistaken for a Korean American sometimes. What I think is so cute is sometimes when he raps in Japanese, I swear I can hear the accent. A couple Japanese speakers I've talked to confirmed my impression. 🤣

Namjoon explains that everyone on his album are artists that he grew up listening to and loves. He also wrote 90% of his album. He just loves music regardless of culture or anything else. RM is a lover of music. He also has an extremely high I.Q. You should watch his magazine Film for Indigo where he explains how each song came about and how he got each artist. V is my bias, but RM is my bias wrecker, which means he’s a close second for me. I’m OT7, I love and respect all seven of them. He also did a live concert of most songs on this album in South Korea at Rolling Hall, which y’all will really love. Thank again for the reaction. I loved it!!!!!!
