Namjoon loves to vocalize on his mixtapes. You'll hear him sing a lot in his songs, even now. This first mixtape was filled with hate, rage, and sadness. He was upset and angry about losing his friends, dealing with fake friendships, negative criticism and comments towards bts and himself, and was also very confused with his own identity as an artist because of those toxic comments. It was a way for him to vent those feelings. In mono (his second mixtape) it's a drastic turning point for him musically, where he finally accepts himself and chooses to create music to help other people struggling with their own demons. ❤️ Can you imagine namjoon performing monster at a concert? The chorus pops OFF and army would be chanting that shit like crazy. 🔥🔥 The beat is originally from jcole. Joon is embarrassed by his old music and cringes at the fact that he called himself a monster. 😂 Understandable considering he was young and has matured over the years. I still enjoy his older music tho. You're right joke is literally a joke. It's damn impressive to hear how fast he rapped and his flow was hard. It's not easy to understand for us English speakers because of many Korean references but it's insane. He was making fun of other rappers and wanted to prove a point. Very skilled wordplay is all i can say. Still blows my mind. Namjoon is an atheist and believes that the only thing that determines his fate is himself. 33:55 If he ever wanted to make an opinion on the topic of religion, he would get so much hate so it's best to leave it be. 🤣 Thanks for the reaction and using these lyric videos! Yes thank you for this reaction :). Life is one of my favourite tracks on his first mixtape, it's such a beautiful song and gives a hint into his Mono playlist sound. He is so versatile I love this talented man.
