After the song, Youjeen said that she was very nervous. She said that if it were her own song, she would have been less nervous, but she felt responsible toward RM's trust in her. (RM replied something to the effect that this was their song, not just his.) She also said that until now, she had never accepted to accompany and collab with another artist. (Except her seniors, since she didn't have a choice; or for her juniors whom she really wanted to support; etc. She said when RM sent her the song and explained everything to her, she felt his sincerity & passion for his music, and it woke something in her. She also said that she respects him immensely, On the other hand, RM said that he knew from the beginning that "Noona Youjeen" was the only person suited for the job, and said that if she hadn't accepted, he was determined to change all the lyrics of her part to English, but that the part about the shining across the sky wouldn't have come out and wouldn't have been the same in English. The whole album was so extremely well-thought out and well-delivered; the whole of it was just so ... Namjoon, lol. And the live was mind-blowing! I love the intimacy of the setting; it totally fits in with the theme of Wild Flower. P.S. This venue was one where the top Korean underground rappers always had their concerts, so RM always wanted to perform here.

I watched this whole concert and I was just blown away. RM is just a Superstar! To all those haters that called him a sell out, look at him now! His voice and his lyrics touch your soul. His looks, his presence and his class, are just unbeatable. Not only is BTS at the top as a group, but one by one these men are showing the world what they are capable of by themselves. Never in my lifetime will I ever see a group of artists that I love this much and admire like I do them. Watching this concert I was filled with so much pride for this man. I just looked it up and she is 45, and that life experience (vocally and just greater wisdom in general) is really shining in this collab. @@hope88545gfd She did strained and struggled in some notes bcz it's SOOO high! Besides, she's not a young singer anymore. Age does makes u lose some control on your vocal cords no matter how legendary you are as a singer. I'm actually glad that RM worked with her without thinking about age or international fame. She has that piercing vocal quality that slices through your heart. It's quite rare in many singers of today's generation.

So I sit here and I listen in solidarity with y'all. My love and my gratitude to you standing out there raw and expressing what ARMYs everywhere are feeling. Some of us have family, colleagues, friends who don't understand and either minimize, ridicule, or blatantly get angry at us for our love of OT7. Love the reaction, yes, this woman really takes this track to a whole other level. I just wanted to comment on how she moves her fingers while holding the mic when she's singing, I think it's a trick that became part of her on stage presence. I could be wrong but when I saw it I smiled because I'm a singer also and to me it looked like a trick you learn in voice lessons. Sometimes in singing a very simple almost silly thing helps a lot. It can be scary to sing higher notes and your brain gets in the way telling you you can't do it, your body absolutely can but your mind thinks it can't, so doing something to distract your mind helps. One trick is to flip your hand as you sing up, right as you sing the high note that you think you can't hit, you flip your hand and "think down", the result is always "holy wtf?!". The more you do it your brain gets out of your way because it ends up knowing you can hit the note and you stop flipping your hand, you really only do this when you're rehearsing anyway. But sometimes it spills over into performance and I think in her case it became a signature, moving the fingers was her trick and somebody probably saw it and said it looked cool ... Again, this might not be the reason she does that but it's totally what it looked like to me :) Borahae! 💜
