I'm a new ADI-2 owner and loving the Remote interface but I learned a few new things from your video so thanks. I need EQ and was concerned that setting it up with the buttons would take forever but the Remote program makes it so easy. This is a wonderful device, both software and hardware are first class and it sounds amazing, my end-game for sure.

Yep you got it, combining the two gives you the best of both worlds - RME Babyface or Fireface for general recording and mixing, ADI-2 for 'hyperreal / microscopic' analysis 👍

Great software. I wonder if in a later update RME could add hotkey support for volume controls, mute & dim. I have a digital volume controller that I use w/ Roon - DSP vol and would love to be able to have volume control direct to the dac.

Very Nice, RME! However, could we please get some sort of mic package for analyzing Room Modes to adjust automatically within RME custom made device/software?

Look at the miniDSP SHD model which had exactly what you're looking for plus dirac.

I think to make this piece of software complete is to allow driver and firmware updates directly from this remote.

Can a too loud 13kHz-15kHz frequency of speakers be corrected with the EQ? I see the last knob only goes to 6500Hz? Thank you. Great video! Edit: Another question, is audio send to the balanced XLR and unbalanced RCA simultaneously? Just wondering because it would be easy to connect the speakers to the XLR and a subwoofer to the RCA. Thanks.
@SynthaxAudioUK8 ай бұрын
Hi, all of the 5 main EQ bands (labelled 1 to 5) can go from 20 Hz - 20 kHz. The two other bands (bass and treble) are shelf EQs and meant more for instant bass or treble boosts, like on old hifi amps where you have the "Loudness" button (which essentially would scoop the mids). For your second question it depends which you mean as there is slight differences between the three current models - on the ADI-2 DAC FS yes the analogue outs are mirrored (with the unbalanced RCA 6dB lower than the balanced XLR outs). On the ADI-2 Pro FS R and ADI-2/4 Pro SE models, I believe these outputs have independent level controls.

Hello, I just bought an Adi-2/4 Pro Se, and there is a problem that has been bothering me. I cannot connect the Adi-2 remote to my Adi-2/4 Pro Se via USB. I am using an iMac Pro (2017) computer. Digicheck NG and the audio device input and output can recognize the Di-2/4 Pro Se device, but the Adi-2 remote keeps showing disconnected. The iPad is also unrecognizable. How can I connect and use it correctly? I have been looking for relevant information for a long time, but there is no tutorial on how to connect. I hope to get a detailed instruction video or text operation guide. Thank you very much!

Hi. I can't get this ADI Remote to work. I get an message, Saying : Make sure I have the latest firmware and drivers. Which I have. Also, in my DAW. It all works fine, but To adjust the Sample Rate is not possible. It is Greyed out. in the computer. Also greyed out on the ADI-2 unit? One more thing. Digicheck doesn't work either?

Just wanted to check you had a device that the remote works with (the ADI-2 has been around for a long time and some of the older versions aren't compatible) - yours is all fine. Sounds like a problem that might need looking into a bit more than we can offer via a KZbin comment though. Great app. It is a pity that USB output has to be activated manually because it is not triggered using the AUTO setting.

I'm assuming you have to have your USB connected to your computer for all of this to work. since my ADi-2 isn't my main interface I don't use the USB connection, when I do it screws up all my configurations with my interface and converters.
@SynthaxAudioUK Жыл бұрын
Hi, yes you need the USB connection to for the remote control to work (send/receive control data), however you should be able to use it fine with another interface or sound card (provided your interface has an SPDIF, ADAT or AES-3 output). Just run the ADI-2 DAC with your interface via TOSLINK (or SPDIF coaxial, or AES-3), with the ADI-2 connected via USB just for the software control. Then select your interface as your sound card as normal, and route audio out to the ADI-2 via the digital connection you've chosen to use. We have a video on hooking up the ADI-2 with an interface here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rKqym6GMbryegck

I run into this same issue. I have an ADI-2 pro FS r black edition and my UFX iii and usually have to disconnect the usb but I’m going to give it a shot and see if I can get everything working. I have the ARC USB remote and it would be great if I could control both devices with just the ARC. Maybe in the future they could add it as a firmware update. Thanks 🙏 again for this video
@dazeja9 ай бұрын
@@S7V7N_SEAS he was right, i finally got mine to work. make sure your ADI-2 pro is in AD/DA mode sometimes if you connect the USB it will go into USB mode. if it's not your main interface ( your case and mine) you do not want the basic mode to be in USB. Also AUTO mode can cause some problems also depending on what is connected to the ADI. As for the ARC, it won't control the ADI-2 because the adi -2 is not support by TotalMIX. I'm not sure why they did this but it isn't.
