I'm a big fan of these digital Casio watches. They look cool, they're cheap, have lots of functions, and being from Casio, you can trust the electronics to last. Not sure the casing and finish will last though. That gold chrome plating will chip off easily if you whack it on a door knob and then it'll continue chipping away.

I have a Casio A169 in gold, very similar to that and also says "water resist". Take it out swimming with me all the time. Accidentally took it on a dive with me to 20m depth and thing is still ticking like nobody's business. These things are well built.

Great review, although you are wrong on its water resistance. It might be a sharp watch, but it can resist 100 meters of water just like the other watch could. Truly a fantastic watch

Exzesion Official the guide says 30 meters, wich means you can't swim with it. Do you have any experience with it?

Are you sure? The website says that's just water resistant: goo.gl/tXwXfW and according to their guide: goo.gl/5ieLN6 you can't swim.

Great review. Thank you for making! The best part I liked about the review was 11:44, where you show that the timer will still run while you're in timekeeping mode. I'm assuming that the same would be true for the stopwatch. I do have question related to this though. After starting the timer/stopwatch and switching to timekeeping mode, if you again switch to timer/stopwatch in case want to check how much time is remaining/elapsed, then does the timer/stopwatch stop or it keeps running?

i have a water resistant casio and i never taks it off when i go swimming it did not break after swimming in a shorebreak

I have a Casio watch actualy 2 differnt that are like exactly like the gold just doesn't have the world time bit and I haven't taken them off in months. I go swimming and shower it's never messed up

I almost always shower with a watch. I put them on when I get out of bed, shower, shave everything. Never had a problem so far.

It is a plastic body with steel plating over it. The body looks and shines the same as the bracelet.

I don't swim with it. No chipping or fading. A few scratches from typical wear.

I just got this watch. Looks kinda small on my wrist though, and my wrists aren't even big. Is this really OK for men? It's dressy though, so maybe the small case size is part of the idea.

If size is an issue, the A168WG-9 is wider (about 36mm) and the DBC611G is taller. After that is a gold G-SHOCK GSTS100G which is significantly larger but much more expensive.

It's probably OK to swim with that watch. Not saying you guys should try it but maybe I'll try to swim with it when I get the chance. Mine hasn't arrived yet though. I expect it to arrive this week. I'll baby it for a while then it's off to the pool.

Chris Lemus You'll need to change it to the current year and then the Watch will know what the day is. Look at your instructions manual.
